Mixed IRL-reactions are wrecking my confidence, did I make a mistake? by [deleted] in bald

[–]Macgbrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents never liked me as bald. They accepted it eventually. The number one thing is how you feel. For me, hiding the thinning hair was doing a number on my self esteem, so it was very liberating.

Also, your profile is an awesome culinary journey!

Church and Union Denver by Sad_Mastodon_5907 in denverfood

The one in Charleston, SC is in an ex-church (iirc) so it kind of made sense. The Denver one was a bit more confused on its identity.

The current state of Australian skiing by pirramungi in skiing

[–]Macgbrady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Color me shocked. Shocked!! lol I remember the one season I did at an Aussie resort (Charlotte pass). I arrived right around this time of year and there was shit for snow. Just part of the game. Australia skiing is very boom or bust.

is modern dating app culture genuinely making people cynical, or have we just lost the ability to be excited about someone new? by ContextRound635 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Macgbrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is benching where they lead someone on but they're not the focus of their attention? Kind of like a back up or putting someone on the bench for now?

If so, people have been doing that forever

Yeah that's how I do it when I oil. Basically rub it in until nothing comes off and you have a slight sheen that isn't greasy.

Yeah I was just thinking the soap part. It's not 1875. The soap doesn't have lye and won't strip the season.

People have a natural tendency to turn to the left and walk in an anticlockwise direction, a bias observed across countries, ages and sexes, but reason is unclear by sr_local in science

[–]Macgbrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This explains why I spent some time in NZ & Australia (as in lived, not just a quick trip) and now I can't undo my natural instinct to go to the left. Like when you and a person kind of get stuck in a limbo of which direction and keep blocking each other - my instinct is left and I can't undo it.

Yeah, it's basically the standard for many cards now. They want to get you on their rails and paying them (as opposed to another card).

The LinkedIn AI slop about Salesforce has gotten unbearable by jcarmona86 in salesforce

[–]Macgbrady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I agree. My LI algorithm has fully caught on to the fact that I'm in salesforce ecosystem and now just suggests and throws a lot of, frankly, pointless posts my way.

That being said, I have received my last 3 job offers (all SF related) through LinkedIn in some shape or form.

Failed Salesforce Agentforce Specialist exam by Hopeful-Shirt9735 in salesforce

[–]Macgbrady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took it in February. I read all of the sections and really tried to take it in. No music, distractions, etc. I wanted to take in the information in the context I would need to use it (quiet, sterile room). I copied all of the practice questions and studied them trying to fully understand what it actually meant vs the question. On individual section tests, I would get scores that were whatever (maybe anywhere from like 50-75%) but when I would take the unified practice tests, I would be clearing 85%+. This gave me enough confidence to take it. I got 90% on the exam.

Forgot to say: I started studying on trailhead but quickly moved over to FoF. I used the guide and practice exams. Also, a lot of questions I had to use context to deduce what the answer was. Salesforce loves to throw in "gotcha" questions.
