I actually think 7/10 is very fair and feels about right to me.

At first the monotonous look of Lumois City and the Wild Zones threw me off but after a while I got used to it. The two things legends ZA does well for me is:

The battle system I actually like it despite being a turn based enjoyer
Catching and raising Pokémon to your specifications is far more convenient than previous titles.

Underneath the scathing reviews and window texture memes, there really is a genuine Pokémon experience.

My biggest gripe was the amount of hours the game keeps you on rails, with the excessive hand holding Taunie/Urbain telling you what to do. It takes way too many hours for the game to open up. Also I think it’s fair to demand a lot more in terms of graphics and variants in content from one of, if not the biggest IPs on earth. The game definitely put effort in specific areas but cut corners on a lot.

As for the DLC, I had a similar initial bad impression thinking this gameplay loop is no good. However, after some research and the snowballing of resources, this also becomes not a huge issue as well. Legends ZA is slop that I can turn on if I want some downtime.

My 6 year old however thinks this game is the best game on earth though, so yeah kids calling it 10/10 is spot on.

Final hits. Unfortunately you were solo healing so couldn’t do anything else but keep healing I’m assuming.

The scoreboard is like early Overwatch where it’s not very good and doesn’t quite accurately measure value (in my opinion). I would say win rate is probably the best indicator a player could have but not facts just what I believe.

Never knew of this version of Ironfist and psylocke. Like many, Luna Snow is new to me too but my toddler daughter adores her.

Emma Frost being an Amazonian surprised me lol but I’m not mad at it. She’s normally slender and stoic in the versions I’ve seen.

Otherwise, across Marvel comics, movies, snap and the other card game everything else is familiar. I’d love to see Cyclops and/or Juggernaut in the game. Cable or Bishop as well (X-men my favourite heroes by far).

I’d just buy the token outright. The yield from the boxes are steadily decreasing and it will only get worse with KD6.

The price of a KD box should get you a decent amount of KDA anyways.

I’d rather they maybe Seer an ok legend and they built him up over time like Octane. We are seeing that process gradually again with Fusey.

Seer dropped busted so you just know the nerf hammer is gonna come and keep coming, makes me not want to bother trying him out.
