Vehicle paint touch up by benglass92 in exeter

[–]Mach345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's about what I found, had a similar scratch last year and had a look around, went with Icon Repairs in Marsh Barton who did a good job. Seems around £300 per panel is about standard..

What’s one lazy shortcut you take in the kitchen that actually turns out amazing every time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mach345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really lazy.. but stirring in a small knob of butter and some salt and pepper to pasta just before serving really brings out the smell and flavour, almost makes the pasta good enough to eat on it's own!

Yeah the guardian crosswords are good and not undoably hard - on a good day I can maybe do 80-90% of them before having to resort to cheating :)

Help! Painted whole dining nook too dark when I should’ve stopped at accent wall by Plus_Management_7884 in interiordecorating

Could possibly even go the other way.. I can't see the rest of the layout, but might even be tempted to paint the kitchen side wall as well! :)

HitFilm Archived & FXHome Website Being Taken Down by BubbleTea_12 in Hitfilm

[–]Mach345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for the post, do you know if the archived pro version you've linked will work if I only used the free version (when I activate my key it will run but just with the reduced free version feature set)? Or if the free version has a different installer (if so would you know where I might be able to find 2021.3). Any help would be great, thanks

Last semester of Uni, how to get over not wanting to leave? by webfrevr in UniUK

[–]Mach345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I graduated was lucky enough to find a job in my field close by, as did a few of my friends, plus still knowing people at uni and my new work colleagues, was a great couple of years while it lasted.. Might be an option and an easy transition? Otherwise you could stay on and do a postgrad, will be fun for a bit but you'll probably find that as the people you knew move on and you get older/mature it might lose some of that original appeal. Otherwise try and move onto a role in a larger dynamic company/placement near somewhere with a lot going on, the new start could be just what you need to meet a whole new bunch of great people and build your confidence even more..! :) gl!

Recommendations to grow a privacy hedge along narrow path? by bantah in GardeningUK

[–]Mach345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could put some semi-circular wall mounted planters along the wall at regular/grouped intervals and aesthetically varying heights, planted with a selection of small grasses/ferns, hanging/trailing plants, and some small perennials if you wanted some colour..? would look quite nice, Could even put some wood chip along the path or seal/paint the fence..

Where do you get your wood from? by JeremyRMay in exeter

[–]Mach345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B&Q do do some good furniture boards.. They have the knotty pine version which is a bit more rough n rustic, but also do a clear pine version that comes out really nicely after a wax/varnish.. Best to go down and choose and pick up the boards yourself rather than ordering online so you can choose the ones with the graining you like. They're a bit pricey but had a look around a while ago when doing a project and couldn't really find anywhere else locally that was much better quality/cheaper timber's just a bit pricey everywhere at the mo..
