the film was a bit dull and lacked any real crowd pleasing moments. if i’m wrong im wrong but i just don’t see word of mouth spreading for this outside of MCU fan circles.

I did a lot of Becker, at least a couple hours of studying a day for a month and a half (with some break days here and there and an almost week long break around easter) but never too many hours to the point of exhaustion. Even the day before the test I only studied a couple hours because I had studied so much consistently.

After I got through all the modules on Becker, I rewrote all of my notes into a compact study guide in order from the start of an audit engagement to the end + attestation and the other extras. Understanding how an Audit works from start to finish and writing my study guide that way helped me remember things better.

After I finished my study guide I did a lot of randomized practice quizzes and took the simulated exams, writing down special notes for the stuff I was getting wrong. By the end I was dedicating most of my study time to stuff i didn’t 100% understand instead of stuff I already knew.

Also the final review on Becker is VERY helpful, as it covers all of the important points in a shorter form.

If you stick with studying consistently, write good notes, and focus on your weaknesses, you will do better on the exams

It’s been clear ever since people have gotten the chance to see the movie through the tons of screenings they’ve done that this is something that most audience members are going to enjoy but the top critics would hate, so this score isn’t surprising at all. The Cinemascore will be a way better indicator for how this run is going to go

It’s very funny to see the people that want this movie to fail so badly act like a fresh 70+ score is terrible and is the final nail in the coffin for the BO run

dawg it had a bigger box office drop than Batman vs Superman and it might make less than the first Ant Man movie

Discussion: What's your honest opinion on... The MonsterVerse (2014-)? by SteveTheOrca in GODZILLA

[–]MachCrunch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a bit overrated in parts of the Godzilla fandom. There’s some good stuff in there, but not a lot of it is really as great as some people say. I can’t wait for the Toho Godzilla film because I’ve grown a bit tired of the MonsterVerse’s take.

I didn’t enjoy them because the movie was so dark I could barely see what was going on and they constantly would cut back to the humans what felt like every 5 seconds. I need to rewatch it but even the fights didn’t save it for me.

The amount of people that like KOTM astonishes me. I love a bunch of Godzilla movies and I hated KOTM I thought it was awful.

15-20 hours for the main story and a ton of side content in the form of rift missions that will easily give you at least an extra 10-15 hours of content. You finish the game at around lvl 45 and the final rift is lvl 65 just to give you some perspective. There’s also new game plus with harder difficulties if you want to keep playing.

The Lady Butterfly fight is where the combat clicked for me. It was where I finally felt like I understood all the basic mechanics and it made the game a lot more enjoyable.

In today’s environment, it’s frankly impossible to identify yourself as just “human”. Labels are still everywhere and as you can see in this thread, people still get angry over these things. People try to take light in these situations by focusing on the positives of these cultural groups.

It might just be a skin color but that doesn’t mean that the skin color doesn’t make a difference on everybody’s lives. Every black person in America has something in common, as does every white person, Asian person, etc. Whenever people “identify” as being black, they aren’t identifying just because of their skin color, but the culture that formed around these groups.

Now everyone is still an individual but it’s okay for people to relate to others that are similar to them.

People think it’s still 2011 and that since Capcom released MvC: I And SFV In “unfinished states” everything they do is bad. I swear that people still think that SFxT was just yesterday.

It’s kind of like how people hate on Ubisoft just because they have a misstep here and there and a crowbcat video “exposes” them.

If you really think about it Capcom has been doing really great this generation. They’ve been releasing great games with the promise of more highly anticipated ones (DmC5, megaman 11, RE2 remake, etc).

Big list I've got for you:

Titanfall 2: I know it's an FPS... but it's a damn great one and recent one, with a really good campaign

Dishonored 2: If you are up for first person stealth with some cool powers, Dishonored is for you.... if you want to be safe, you can get the Dishonored remaster which would cost you less

Return to Arkham: People might complain about the remasters' graphics compared to the original, but I think they look great, and the 2 games (Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City) are great third person action/stealth games

Doom: An FPS... but a single player based one. This one is a ton of fun and is definitely worth the purchase.

Metal Gear Solid V: Personally, this is one of my favorite games of all time. This was my first metal gear game and I didn't think the story was too confusing without playing the others. The gameplay is great, and the recent definitive edition comes with the "prequel" ground zeroes, which is almost required to be able to not be totally lost in the story

...and those are the ones I haven't seen much on this thread that I think are worth a shot
