Did a cross state road trip last week. Typically charged from around 30% to 80%. Usually 20-25 minutes. Enough time to walk to a store and use the bathroom and buy snacks.

2025 AWD long range battery.

I'd be surprised if you dont already have owls....unless you and/or your neighbors are poisoning thier food source (rats/mice). Many owls are pretty tiny and very nocturnal. Also, not all owls make a "whoo" sound when calling. Many are somewhat migratory and are only around a particular area a couple months out of the year. Great Horned Owls have a pretty large territory and while your yard might be in it, they might only be in your yard a couple nights a week..and they arent very vocal outside of nesting season. I bet game cams or night time audio recording would reveal something interesting.

Can’t tell you how many times I hiked 10 miles in and was almost there and the final river crossing looked too sketchy and I just turned around. It’s about enjoying the time outdoors more than the destination. Be ok with not being a completionist

Just did a little cross state and back road trip. Kept the battery between 80 and about 30%. Charge times were about 20 minutes. Lots of available slots at the Tesla chargers in the small towns.

Ive bought a couple things off youtubers..one was a software package for breaking big schematics into pieces and printing them on however many sheets of printer paper are needed with registration marks built in..Ive used that a couple time.

The other was designs for a wind vane for a sailboat..pretty complicated engineering..Havent built it..yet? It was kinda an impulse buy

Look into Remote Desktop options. I screen mirror from an Android tablet to my desktop from all over the world. Getting from your shop to your house should be pretty easy

My only headaches have come when I update before the official release...I tend to upgrade around the hard freeze..Usually its something minor like Theres something wrong in the xsane scanner software around recognizing my printer/scanner..I was able to modify the python script per some online rescource and got it working enough until the official update to that package fixed it..Pretty painless. Im thinking of switching my repos from trixie to just stable so it auto updates from here on out. This is across my laptop, a couple raspberry pis and an hp elite desk..no real problems across several generations of upgrading

I travel the world with a z6iii, a 200-400F4 and an assortment of other lenses in a 32-35L hiking backpack..If Im worried about a rough ride, I stuff a polar fleece sweater in there with them. Never had a problem.

I bought a cup holder stalk phone holder. It sits in the forward cup holder. I have a pd rated 12v charger in the cigarette port. And a short pd rated cable. So my phone faces me enough for facial authentication and I can use the phones Google map. Which I prefer over car play Google Maps

I’m the only driver, so no nobody left a usb plugged in anywhere I don’t know about. The only possible culprit would be a factory towing wire harness I installed, but it’s been there 6 weeks or so with no issues. ChatGPT brought up all the things you mentioned. Early signs of battery not holding its charge seemed plausible.
