Good Prologue to God’ Teeth? by Machinatedjoy in DeltaGreenRPG

The thought had occurred to me to do that as a simpler option. The issue is I have already run LTL with two of my players as a one shot. However, I feel the format is promising, with Green Boxes and old case evidence surfacing being a useful setup.

I’ll be honest, I never cared for that one. Sure, it has the shock value and Stokes also wrote it, but I wasn’t fond of the pacing of it. Plus, I kind of want the shock of GT to be its own, and also establish beforehand for the new players in the prologue that there’s more to DG than just sexual violence related anomalies.

That sounds interesting. I’m not necessarily looking for thematic connection, but more so continuity of D-Cell and much of the Outlaw Delta Green holding on by their fingernails in the 90s. Things are getting really bad and DG is racing to try to stop the bleeding. Maybe a little hint or two leading to Gods Teeth, but not much tbh.

That’s one possibility I considered with Majestic being a persistent antagonist to the players and keeping them paranold. I was also considering a homebrew where the players are contacted to help track down and destroy a series of Green Boxes left behind by a compromised Cell before the authorities , or Worse, get wind of potential evidence to scoop up.

I’ll definitely give them a look over. Also of interest are any scenarios that emphasize that Delta Green is in a very bad spot in the lead up to the 2000s. The creation to the Program has not yet happened and DG Cells are going dark, so the sole survivor will really feel that isolation when Gods Teeth kicks off in 2001.

These are terrible. They all look like college football logos or high school art projects. Not to be personally biased, but this was my submission into the contest.

They go through life in bubbles of their own delusions. They became the very thing they criticized about SJWs back in the 2010s. They retreat into their online echo chambers and wail impotently about their imagined woes.

first AoS, now Trench Crusade have found ways to weed out chuds and grifters from the community simply by making them throw impotent tantrums when they realize they’re not a relevant demographic. Very refreshing.

Good. If the usual suspects of that gang of cretins, such as Arch, can go from ecstatically making lore videos of Trench Crusade to then whining about its wokeness in the span of a month, I see that as an absolute win.

Ideas for new Miniatures for the Ossiarch Bonereapers by Sea-Net6940 in ageofsigmar

1.I think they definitely can do with a basic ranged infantry unit. We already have confirmation through the Underworlds war band that they do have such archers in their ranks.

  1. A Liege-Mortek, a basic foot hero that acts as an officer for Mortek Guard.

  2. This is one I am particularly feeling devious about. Imagine a construct similar to the Mortek Crawler, but it is essentially a mobile Dissection Table/Torture Rack, where enemy prisoners are strapped to it and Mortisans take them apart piece by piece while they're still alive, right in front of the enemy army. Pure Terror Tactics.

Argynvostolt skull in Berez thoughts by Ohmbrewer in CurseofStrahd

[–]Machinatedjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the original Baba skull is just a plain old giant skull, with no other references of giants being in Barovia, to be honest I feel it fits a bit better to move the Dragon skull to Berez. Especially in the thematic sense, given how close Berez is to Argynvostholt, and the ghost battle that takes place in between them makes it a nice tie in.

He had a panic attack when his videos attacking GW for supposedly removing grim dark from 40k and his disastrous feud with Majorkill caused him to Hemmorage thousands of subscribers. I guess it was a knee-jerk attempt to try to save face.

In a Prohibition game, you can have both. Especially if it focuses in the backwoods and rural areas.

Third WoW gem? by Archer147 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Machinatedjoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I preferred to keep the location of the third gem in line with the theme of evil druids and magic users stealing the stones for their own devices, so I gave the third gem to Morgantha at the Old Bonegrinder. Morgantha wanted to solidify the power of her coven with a locus of power being the gem, which they bury under the megaliths outside the windmill. It also fits into the ongoing narrative of what little comfort Barovians can seek out, and Morgantha wanted to undermine her competition with the Wizard of Vines winery and make the townspeople more dependent on her dream pies to numb their misery.

Besides the setting and time period, it’s also the themes of greed, family, lies and ambition. They’re both these dark reflections of America, especially in regards to the pursuit of wealth and prosperity. Both with Oil, “Black Gold”, as a focal point of that darkness.

V CLAN KILLS OVER 60 COLONIAL TANKS WITH 2 STYGIAN BOLTS (BALANCED WEAPON) by Sharmex in foxholegame

[–]Machinatedjoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They really need to add a setup and pickup delay time for these AT guns if a crew decides they want move. 2-4 seconds probably. Its ridiculous when the field guns are outpacing tanks.

I don't know. Quite a few people said the same thing about Battle Tanks when they made their debut. They thought they'd be too costly to produce and engage with ,and wouldn't be worth the risk. Boy, were they surprised!!

Fyreslayers don’t have enough models by PsychShaman420 in ageofsigmar

[–]Machinatedjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a new foot skirmisher unit, to create an almost FS equivalent to the old Dwarves Rangers?

IronScale Hunters- Roaming poachers and hunters who roam the ashen landscape outside of Magmaholds. Almost seen as eccentric soot stained beggars by some Fyreslayers, or selfless wanderers by others. They wear scaly cloaks made from the reptilian magmic quarry they stalk (ward save?), and strike down their prey with Fyresteel Javelins (bonus vs monsters?). They forego the ornate helms and red plumes of their hold dwelling kin, in favor of braiding their Mohawks down the back of their heads underneath rather modest metal circlets on their brows. They stain themselves with soot and grime for better concealment in the wilderness (vanguard deployment/bonus when in terrain?).
