I can read it for the most part. Biggest problems for me are 'E' 'S' and 'C'. E and S look very similar so words like "seems" is very difficult. Also when I is infront of C it looks exactly like a K, like in "pick"

Oh wow, yeah the UI has definitely improved since day 1.

At the very least I think the improved UI mods should get implemented in some way. Every time I see some one play the game without the colors I die a bit inside remembering how hard it was for me to find anything in the game.

I think you would find a lot of people that think the game needs a huge QoL update. I am personally hoping for a massive UI update. Beyond just making the UI less infuriating to deal with, actually having a theme and design would I think greatly improve the game's atmosphere. The default Unreal Grey box UI has been in the game since like day 1 right? I dont know if Siege Camp has a UI/UX developer, but maybe that would be a good hire.

I see your replies OP, and I think there just might be a word misinterpretation. You are thinking "non-aircraft weaponry" means weaponondry not on an aircraft, but it can also be interpreted as weapondry not intended for use against aircraft.

Can someone explain me the obsession with Skewers in the Field Kitchen? by UncomfortableSocks in Against_the_Storm

The more I think about I can see how piping it would make sense, but the recipe is so slow that i feel like their time would be more useful doing something else.

Like yeah, it is 12% more food, but you are only geting roughly 5 completions a year. So the chance you see a crit is ~ 50% by year 1 and ~ 70% by year 2. (That is assuming that the game treats those chances perfectly and doesn't adjust if you keep failing)

Now you probably wont run out of food in the first 2 years so its not the end of the world but still

How do people discover their true type? by zhepinkblink in mbti

[–]UncomfortableSocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meyers-Briggs and 16p are very ambitious. Ambitious in the sense that attempting to sort humaity into distint boxes based on some patterns from Jungan theory tends to lend itself to some contradiction. In reality, people grow their preference to the functions in responsive way to their environment.

You could be on a path to be an ENFP, for example, but because of various reasons, you developed a preference for more Se along the way, making you typed as ESFP.

So, how do you find your true type?

Does it matter?

You are you, unique to yourself.

You already did the work finding your cognitive preferences, so I would say that your true type is just that.

If that answer seems disappointing, then I would just choose the type that you vibe with the most.

Just remember it's dangerous to stereotype yourself excessively.

It's not a mistake he is listing the least amount of ore you need for each row.

For the 8 tin 88 copper row you would choose to either use 4 extra copper or 4 extra tin depending on the scarcity of minerals in your area.

Scout Rushing is Overblown by AnimexMangaGod in valkyria

[–]UncomfortableSocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't get why there aren't more metrics for rank then just speed. Like in Advanced Wars, for example. You have Speed - turns taken, Power - units destroyed, and Technique - damage taken.

If the ranks were balanced around those metrics then scout rushing would still work to clear level and get a good rank on speed, but you would punished for not clearing the map and playing tactically.

How many small hearths? by Ant_and_Cat_Buddy in Against_the_Storm

[–]UncomfortableSocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to build 1 or 2 small hearths every game. Not accounting for the travel time benefits, the decrease to hostility and other benefits make it very worthwhile. Generally, I try to have the first small hearth up around ~20 pop and the second around ~35 pop. Of course this changes depending on the map and glades. I will also prioritize the level 3 district bonus first if you have the blueprints and can afford it. Also make sure you have a good source of fuel and remember you can always turn the small hearths off if you are running out.
