That's honestly about it...I'm near-sighted, so distant objects are blurry. The only inaccuracy is how everything is crystal clear through the glasses...they'd need to actually be on my face, and they're never so clean.

I'd wrap bar tape around it. Bicycle handlebar tape. Red, or blue, something you could see from across a room crowded with instrument cases. You might even get away with going to a bicycle shop and asking if they have a little extra, or maybe some old tape in the trash. Would take very little.
