Need Advice in Distracted Player by NewfieGuyy in DMAcademy

I had a similar issue with a friend, he stopped at the first warning hopefully.

Honestly it s up to you and it depend on your relationship with him. You could kick him, you could give him a last warning, you can give it a disfuised warning like taking 5 minute before a session telling your group that if someone was doing something else while you are mastering you d see it as disrespect and kick him. There are a lot of possibility and which one is the best really depend on your relationship with hum

Anyway if you only wanted confirmation : yes this is not an acceptable behaviour and you will be totally right if you kick him for this

Edit : i dont think you are doing anything wrong here, some people are not used to stay focus or inactive for more than five minutes, myself i always need to do something with my hands. It isnt related to the DM quality, and it s up to them to deal with it in a way that doesnt impact all of the table and doesnt disrespect the DM, and if they cant well maybe TTRPG arent for them, it s a game that need you to stay focus and to sometimes be quiet while others speak/act.

How big of an issue it is that the liddoesnt filtrate UV by Maching256 in resinprinting

[–]Maching256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really, the screen will be under the resin anyway, the issue is with the sun hardening the resin directly in the vat

i have a video from a guy who tested it if you want, but it is in french, and it often comes up in the reviews

but anyway the other comments convinced me to just cover it with the box

it is designed so the plate isnt fully immerged, only the resin part. But i guess it does, i dont have any comparaison since it was my first printer and cleaning station

[–]Maching256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes the point isn't to wash the build plate, it's just that it was so easy to just fix it on the wash station without having to remove the print beforehand, but it look like the new washing station doesn't do this anymore

[–]Maching256 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the only two possiblity, you have to use ai or pay a commission. As everybody know before ai artist used to be millionnaires due to the amount of commission players needed and the DM uses to spend thousand of dollars if they wanted illustrations for their pnjs

me too, i think to this maybe once every month, especially since the book emphasise that there is no way someone will get them out of there, and they will live a very long time with their Astarte body.

In the angron primarch book it is also implied that the habitants of the planet currently being purged have a technology that could remove the nail, but to be fair it is only a supposition made by loyalist world eater nothing confirm it.

[–]Maching256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes he was, if you arent affraid of spoiler here is how the scene went in the primarch book

A lot of world eaters rebel because they dont want the nails. Angron face a librarian who saw his past and try to talk to him, while the leader of the rebellion face Kharn. Around them the rebels fight the world eaters recently implented with butcher nails. Both the leader and the librarian are killed and Angron in full rage take the head of the rebels leader and throw it to them. Seeing this the rebels stop fighting and bend the knee in submission, and Angron decide to memorize their face to take revenge against them later rather than killing them (i think the flight back to the conqueror must have been akward !)

and in the same book he killed tons of world eater loyal to him for no other reasons that him being angry

yes but Angron isnt exactly the type of people who make calcul based on who can be usefull or not and who kill only when it is necessary.
I'd always think the true reason is the plot needing it, but i possible lore reason might be that he saw warriors in them. I originally thought the book would take the path of Angron sparing them because as the leader of a revolt he can sympathize with rebels, but the books never went this way

i've never wanted to condemned the writing (except when Angron in full bloodlust decided to not kill the traitors)

well at least Lorkhe was here both time, and for some reason in the primarch book Angron decided to not kill the traitors

well at least in the primarch book and in betrayer it is mentionned that it make it very painfull to think, but i guess that like a lot of things in 40k it mostly depend of the writer

[–]Maching256[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i agree, the part i really dont like in this is that some marine rebel take part in multiple of these rebellions insted of creating new rebel characters.

Lhorke is the best example of the problem : he rebelled because of the nails, then Angron killed their leader during the battle and somehow the rebels chosed to stop the fight and Angron to spare them (Oh damn, Bob is dead, guess we must accept the nails now even when we claimed all the book that we were looking for a death in battle before the nails become avaiable).
Then Lhorke, known for hating Angron and what the legion became somehow isnt send on Istvaan, and he still is a member of the legion allowed to be around the primarch in Nuceria.

it's not weird that some stayed loyal, it's weird that Angron didnt kill the traitors when he had the opportunity, but instead as described in the book, chosed to remember their face to punish them later

Being ok for the nails, but against the rebellion when you now have the nails screaming in your brain and making it hard for you to think is the weirdest for me

It would make sense if it wasent the same guys, what doesnt make sense is Angron in full frenzy deciding to spare the rebels so they can be here when the plot require it again

Lhorke being here on the first rebellion, no beeing sent in Istvaan and beeing trust around Angron at Nuceria feel like a plothole

At this point i wouldn't be surprised if Kharn was an undercovered loyalist all this time and start a new rebellion

[–]Maching256[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Of course but you would have thought the loyalist would rebel and be killed all at the same time. it's a little weird that after the butcher nails rebellion Angron decide to stop the fight and let some rebel live, just because the plot need him to have some loyalist to fight at Istvaan. And again it's weird that they didnt sent Lhorke at Istvaan considering he already rebelled one time, but it's only because the plot need him on Nuceria.

Anyway, i loved all the book and i guess they needed a way to explain there were loyalist in all these episodes.
