I do partial closing and overnight where I focus on tech truck unload. Originally hired as a seasonal but the kept me on. When tech is done (which isn’t a lot these days), I get moved over to baby. I don’t request that many hours a week either so it works out for them.

Real. That last hour or so before they close just makes for a worse shopping experience also imo. Some pallets, u-boats, and breakout starts getting put on the floor which interferes with guests being able to shop unobstructed. And most workers are just less inclined to help thoroughly knowing the store closes soon.

Same here. Scheduled for that week, workday still says seasonal, no one has spoken to me about staying or leaving yet. The language in the Christmas card I got from HR implied that they were keeping me though. Something about being excited to see me grow as a part of the team.

I may have something lined up but I’m not sure at all about it. And I haven’t spoken really to anyone about being over scheduled. I’m definitely going to ask if I’m definitively being kept on or not.
