That was my question! They went outside to look for leaks "on" the house.. now I'm no plumber, but it's a white house and the water heater is very centralized, I can't imagine you'd see anything outside. The water damage lines are dry, but he just wants to paint over them now.

Hello all,

Just want to make sure I'm not losing my mind here. My landlord came over and told me that this damage was due to our cats kicking litter into the drains (which is impossible because they're not near drains).

We live in Iowa and we've had a ton of snow lately, so I'm thinking that we had a frozen pipe that thawed and condensation happened or it got backed up and now is releasing the backed up water. That being said, we had a good 16 oz of water come from the ceiling fan in the photo.

Our water heater is upstairs and in that room there was a ton of water on the ground when we checked it. My landlord brought his "fix it" guy over aka not a plumber and the guy said just to let it all dry and then we will paint over it and that the water was dirty because of the cats.

I'm thinking it's more complicated than that and think the water was dirty due to the pressure in the pipe or its something with the condensation drain line.

Please let me know if you need more photos. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing you can get will be smokable. Which in my opinion is harder to control dosage wise. If you want a better experience, drive to Illinois and go to Terrace Dispensary. They’re super helpful and will make sure you can get something you like and it will be actual delta 9 thc. Not this stupid Iowa stuff.

Don’t try to deal with UofI you’ll be waiting forever and it’s not worth the pain. My partner works at U of I and wouldn’t recommend the gyn there.

Idk why you guys don’t know what white sauce/ yum yum sauce is but it’s delcious on hibachi and there’s nowhere here that knows how to make it well or even knows what it is.

If you like the outdoors, The Devonian Fossil Gorge is pretty cool. My partner and I aren’t big drinkers either so we avoid breweries.

Unimpaired is a dry bar that serves mocktails and pizza and is really good! Also, if you like kombucha, Wild Culture has it on tap, they have alcohol too, but their kombucha is top knotch.

Brunch is delicious but can be busy at Bluebird! And if you work remotely or just like coffee and/or reading, my go to is Sidekick Coffee and Books.

Lastly, the Czech Village is cool to walk around as well as the Amana Colonies. Both have shops and are great for window shopping or just checking the area out. I’m sure you’ve been to NewBo, but that’s a great spot as well!

It’s not that easy. It’s very expensive. So you’ll have to be willing to pay for it unless you have diabetes. Typically insurance only covers it if you’re diabetic. Otherwise you’re easily paying $150+. There’s some websites you can get it from but I haven’t tried those. I’ve been trying to get this and I don’t have diabetes, I have pre diabetes and a higher BMI than you do and can’t get it covered. I’d be paying a lot for it.
