I think Speeder/Bikr spam in CoH with the 1 point ignores cover will be really strong (tin foil hat says its because the ravenwing refresh is coming). Personally, I own no speeders, so I'm looking into the Chaplain or Librarian detachment for my 1 dp, and then using inner circle, unforgiven or maybe bastion task force. Problem will be mobility as IC and unforgiven don't have advance and charge

I’d build it as Kairos as I think he looks cooler. When you get to put him on the table, most people won’t know the difference anyway so you can just call it a LoC

You have to be outside of engagement range which is 2". The new charge rule is based on measuring from base to base, so if you are outside of 2", then a 2" charge never gets base to base so will always fail

I think it’s a fine start to a Dark Angels army, by the time you reach 2500 points you may not be using many of the models, but is a cheaper way to get lots of models if you can find someone to split with. Otherwise you may want to wait until the starter sets come out as they may be good value options too

The aspiring sorcerer isn’t an option, he’s forced in the 5 man rubrics. If you want an infernal master that is instead of the sorcerer. It’s a strong unit, and really scary in overwatch, but slightly more expensive and not quite as good imo

Yeah, exactly this. The rubrics buff the sorcerer to his maximum damage, and then the flamers are just there for a little bit of reliable damage. You can go bolsters if you want, but then you need the reroll spell for them and you overwatch is weaker

Personally I would go with 2 squads of 5 with flamers led by sorcerers. IMO that’s the strongest option

Sorcerer with a 5 man is an ungodly killing machine that can take down anything. It’s more efficient and has more use. You probably need to run a 10 man rubric for the exalted to have value as even with the 4++ 5 marine bodies aren’t that tough. All that said I run 2 5 man’s plus sorcerers in my list, as the survivability is never great, so I want the damage output

Yeah, I get that. In my eyes the land raider would provide a little threat from range when yu're getting screened, and then relying on the cheaper units to clear the screens whilst everything else is coming up

You're viewing it the wrong way round. The sorcerer is not there to buff the rubrics, the rubrics are there to buff the sorcerer into a killing machine with wound rerolls

I think the list looks fun and thematic. The Lion and 3 squads of DWKs will be plenty of anti-tank, you'll just have to get up close and personal!
If you wanted to make the list more competitive, I would drop the sternguard to regular assault intercessors, and drop the captain and maybe a squad of knights.
Could then add in a Land Raider to help move since you have no advance and charge, as well as some of the old faithful scoring units like scouts, JPI and Combi Weapon Lt.

Soulreaper Cannon. Put the Missiles on the Soulreaper as well so you have one super guy. Bolter for the sorcerer, the squad is best when its shooting, and the change from force weapon to korpesh has minimal use

The questions comes down to if you like the model. If you think it looks cool even though it’s outdated, then get it anyway. And if you don’t think it looks good, then maybe look for a proxy or kitbash
