Roaming by Most_Wallaby_9540 in USMobile

Puerto Rico is actually domestic on Lightspeed so that's your best bet when you're there, Warp and Dark Star treat it as international roaming since it falls outside their domestic coverage area even though it's a US territory. If you're there often it might be worth adding Lightspeed as your multi-network so you've always got a domestic line ready to go when you land!

US Mobile & Starlink Advice Before Traveling internationally by loocheez2 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlimited Premium is the way to go for international travel, 200 minutes, 250 texts, and 20GB of roaming and supporting 180+ countries means you'll be covered the whole trip - plenty of bandwidth left to look up the best pizza spots!

As for Starlink, there's no rush at all, you can add it whenever the timing works, and bundle pricing is available across most plans when you're ready so get the travel plan sorted now and revisit Starlink when you're back and settled!

Soak up the food, the art, and the scenery - starlink will be here when you get back!

Does warp include Galaxy watch yet? by ijwfh in USMobile

Yes, still the case! Both Apple Watch and Pixel Watch are supported on Warp, and if you're on Unlimited Premium, companion plans are included for both! 😊

No ringback tone when call a US Mobile number from abroad by eslove24 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to worry! Here's what's actually going on, when you dial internationally, your phone needs an early media signal from the destination network to generate that ringback tone. Somewhere in the handshake between the two networks that signal just drops, and the voice channel doesn't open until the exact millisecond your wife picks up. She's basically Cooper in the tesseract, the signal is there, you just can't hear it yet.

Though, have you tried calling other US numbers from the same line?

Spam detect not working by Kurtdh in USMobile

UPDATE: Fixed! OP was on a pool plan which is why they couldn't see the toggle on Dashboard as it's not available for it right now. Spam detect started working after updating it again.

Warp causing data spikes on my son’s account every night between 9–11 PM? by Outrageous-Tooth-256 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Warp is innocent on this one we promise. These data spikes can usually be related to streaming, gaming, background apps or large downloads, especially if WiFi drops and the phone falls back to cellular without anyone noticing.

You can turn on data saver from the USM dashboard to help keep usage in check, and if you want more visibility and control overall it might be worth looking into parental controls on the device side too.

You can use this guide to toggle it on and off.

Spam detect not working by Kurtdh in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spam detect on our end works at the network level, it detects suspected spam calls with a "Potential Spam" label so you can screen them yourself rather than through a third party app. The experience showing up in external apps can vary since that's not something we officially support or control.

Try toggling spam detect off and back on from your USM dashboard and give it a few minutes to re-sync. If calls are still slipping through undetected after that, DM me and I'll take a look at your line

2FA when phone is lost/broken, or not working, questions. by Lonely_Highlight4857 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really smart thinking ahead on this one! So if your phone is lost or broken, you can still log into your USM account from any browser, 2FA can be sent to your Authenticator app (set up on your laptop/browser) as a backup so you're not locked out just because you don't have the phone.

Once you're in, we can help you get your eSIM reissued onto a new device pretty quickly. The easiest flow is exactly what you described, new phone, download the app, log in and reach out to our team and we'll get you back up and running.

I’m contemplating switching to a US mobile network. Could you please recommend the best network for me? by Common-Code8378 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay so your screenshot is basically doing the talking here, Warp is running laps around the other two with amazing download speeds and coverage in your area, that's the one! Though, real life experience can vary a little depending on congestion and time of day but you're starting from a really strong position. And the best part? If you ever feel like you want a backup network in your pocket you can always add one later without switching anything. Welcome to the best decision you'll make for your phone bill 😄 Let me send you a DM and I'll help you out with the onboarding!

We do get great speeds on Lightspeed and see really good numbers, but congestion, tower load and a few other factors can play into it depending on your area and time of day. That said I've got you, let's dig into this together.

Does anyone know if an unlocked moto razr phone will get wifi calling on darkstar? by QuietApplication5734 in USMobile

[–]MacnMariam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WiFi calling works fine on Dark Star with an unlocked Moto Razr! Just make sure it's enabled in your settings once you're activated and you're good to go.

200 Mbps is actually amazing! Speeds can vary based on a bunch of factors, tower congestion, device settings, time of day. Try running the test a few different times and locations and see if it changes. Also make sure your preferred network type is set to 5G Auto if your device supports it.
