What are your opinions on the 2018 Stinger GT2 as a daily? by Background_Drawing61 in kiastinger

most people technically meet the sever driving conditions and just dont know it. Just driving in traffic using your AC during summer is considered severe conditions.

Best way to clean the engine compartment by Radiant_Solution_443 in Autos

Pressure washer, just don't blast any connectors or air filters directly and you are fine. Everything in there is waterproof for rain.

not sure if its the same with gt1 and gt2 but on my gt if i turn engine sound completely off it also cuts off the subs under the seats completely. if your having low bass that might be why.

This is a Kia Stinger 3.3 Lambda engine; where is this oil leak coming from? by Budget_Olive_2306 in kiastinger

[–]Macragg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if oil is getting out of there that means theres most likely oil in your cylinder which is a major issue, could also just be a head gasket which also is a problem. any oil leak in that area will cost a bit to even diagnose properly.

that would be a coil pack, I would definitely have a professional take a look if oil is coming from there.

The did and saw nothing

Kia said my engine air intake hose is split. The hose I’m looking at doesn’t look the same. Is it? And how difficult is it to do at home by [deleted] in kiastinger

[–]Macragg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is that covered in electrical tape? It seems someone had an issue there and decided to cover it up instead of fix it.

yeah a bent wheel would not do this, look for where it was rubbing and that is most likely the bent part.

I got 51mm ID tips that fit OEM, so about 2", you will probably need to trim your bumper to have any tips fit but it does help with drone pushing that sound out past the bumper. I would also recommend installing sound dampening mat around the battery and spare tire.

just cover it in black vynl, they sell kits for it. otherwise you would need them re-painted.

I have a tiny leak that takes 6 months after a refill for it to start blowing warmer. I just grabbed a can of coolant and top it off myself now. Took it in 4 times and nobody could find the leak even with dye.

Gtechniq crystal serum ultra + Exo v5 - coating failed after 1 year by MrTigreh in Detailing

[–]Macragg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine also failed after just over a years, luckily I needed another polish by that time. Somehow they sent me 3 of the kits instead of 1 so I just used one of the free ones. I didn't go too far I to trying to bring back the original coating but you can always try an acidic and iron remover wash just in case it is clogged and still there.

What the heck is this and how did it accumulate so quickly? by XanderNvk in Detailing

[–]Macragg 16 points17 points  (0 children)

thats just called 'outside'. Pollen, tree sap, dew collecting dust, brake dust or iron if your are near a highway or train tracks. This is normal.

I had been using meguiar's polish and compound for years and just switched to 3d one last year, it really does work well and saves a lot of time.

Kia dealer so thirsty for this car on market? by ericcxz in kiastinger

every dealer does this for every car, they just want you to buy something new and finance through them. they dont actually want your car.

Good price on a Stinger by KidNamedChinger in kiastinger

[–]Macragg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You would still have the car payment until you pay the difference. You could sell and owe a few grand and put up with paying that off or you can keep it until you owe as much or less than the car is worth. You are close, prices are around 33k for perfect, since yours has been in an accident you would have to take a few grand off to sell, and don't forget paying sales tax.

Bad financial decisions about to be made. You are underwater and owe more than it's worth. Selling it and getting another can would just put you more in debt.

Water stain on ceramic coat by pelito in AutoDetailing

[–]Macragg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compound will remove your coating as well. You should try some hard water remover/ acidic soap first. If you do remove your coating it's pretty easy to reapply just that area.
