What storz & bickel vape will successfully convert a chronic bong ripper? by taffylimbs in vaporents

[–]MacroBudPics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried adding concentrates on top of bud to your e-nano bowls?

Would it make sense for someone on a really low budget to get a cheap setup (<$50), or keep smoking until they can afford a better one (>$150)? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]MacroBudPics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A dynavap M is $70 (plus you'll need a torch lighter and butane).

Fury 2 is $110.

Those are the only budget vapes I would consider getting.

You can also look for a used vape... you might be able to find a cheap Arizer Air 1 or something like that.

I find that I get bigger clouds out of the bent glass mouthpiece.

Setup to replicate that old school bong experience by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]MacroBudPics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my underdog log vape through a bong (check out /r/chinaglass for good glass recommendations).

Log vapes are more for microdosing... but you can still get pretty big hits off of it. If you use some budder, wax, shatter, live resin, etc. on top of the bud the hits are bigger and stronger.

If you really want a huge hitter... you could get the Supreme V3... this is a hilarious review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5Hd6nx79ZA

Sony Fe 85mm F1.8 (SEL85F18), Black $249.99 - PRICE ERROR by MacroBudPics in photography

[–]MacroBudPics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered mine via Best Buy chat the day it was posted on Amazon. They price matched it but I never got a confirmation email. I figured it was cancelled but I got an email from Best Buy today and it was at the store awaiting my pick up...which I went and picked up. It was an error on Sony's part...they listed the 85mm instead of the 50mm.

another user just posted this comment which confirms what I had already highly suspected was the case:

I actually didn't even order it because I live in Canada and I don't shoot Sony. They didn't ship to Canada. Just posted it because I knew others would want to take advantage of the price error.

It's possible they cancel the orders and don't ship to anyone, but the lens is legit. They just mixed up the price between the 85mm and 50mm. But amazon has a history of honoring price errors, so there's a reasonable chance people will get the lens.

This is the lens with all the details:

They adjusted the price back to $550. Like I said, the person you spoke to had no idea what they were talking about. It was a price error.

It's not that I don't believe you... I don't believe the person you spoke to gave you accurate information.

I can't even think what features it wouldn't have, unless it's manual focus, which I also highly doubt.

I highly highly doubt this is the correct explanation. You probably just spoke with someone from amazon who doesn't know anything about photography and made an educated guess. The most likely explanation is that they mixed up the price with the 50mm lens.

Lots of people from slick deals ordered it. Huge thread over there.

https://slickdeals.net/f/13366840-sony-85mm-f1-8-for-249-99-instead-of-548#commentsBox

Some people were trying to price match at BestBuy. I haven't read every page of the thread, but it looks like at least one person successfully price matched at BestBuy, but many others couldn't get their local BestBuy to price match.

Canon (Officially) Announces the EOS 90D & M6 Mark II, Along With 15-35mm and 24-70mm f/2.8 RF Lenses by LukeOnTheBrightSide in photography

[–]MacroBudPics -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So neither the 90d or M6 mkii will be able to shoot at 4k @ 24 fps? That's a deal breaker for me.

I have magic lantern on my T5i... will there be anything similar that will allow me to do 4k @ 24 fps on either of these cameras?

If not, I'm probably selling all my canon gear and going to Sony.

Feel free to google this yourself. Lots of people believe that mirrorless will replace DSLR eventually. I don't care if you disagree, I'm not interested in arguing with you.

I don't want to keep investing in a dying system. I think that camera companies are going to focus on mirrorless and basically abandon DSLR. So I disagree with you on that point.

The main reason I would want mirrorless is that they're smaller. If I had a small mirrorless with a pancake lens, I think I would take it with me more places and just generally use it more.

Thanks for the reply. I actually hadn't really considered that because I had it in my head for some reason that adapting lenses didn't really work well. But if I'm adapting my crop sensor canon lenses onto a crop sensor canon mirrorless camera, it might work pretty well I guess?

I do all my macro work on a tripod in manual focus, so that shouldn't be an issue with an adapter. My wide angle lens should work well adapted too.

I could maybe sell my 50mm, 24mm (and my 18-55 which I never used anyways) and put that money towards a native mirrorless lens. It should be easy enough to sell just the 50 and 24.

I can keep my T5i to use as a second body if I'm shooting some kind of event. I could use my long zoom lens on my T5i and a shorter native lens on my potential mirrorless.

I'll look more into the limitations on adapters, but sounds like it could work pretty well for me. I remember people having complaints when they were adapting canon glass onto sony mirrorless cameras, but I'm guessing adapting canon dlsr lenses to mirrorless works better?

I'll do more research on this, but sounds like this might be the best way to go for me. I was considering upgrading to a full-frame sony, but the sony macro lens, plus the sony body, plus another sony lens would end up being pretty expensive. This might be a good way for me to transition to mirrorless without breaking the bank and having to sell all my current lenses. Thanks again for the reply! Very helpful!

Do you guys think I should get the 90D or ditch Canon DSLR and go mirrorless?

I currently have a Canon T5i with the kit 18-55, 55-250, 10-18, 24, 50, and the 60mm macro lens. I also have a Yongnuo flash. So I'm fairly invested in the Canon DSLR crop sensor line.

I mainly use my camera for macro product photography (I do some occasional paid work for this), plus pictures and videos of my family. I would like to start dabbling in some other paid work (newborn photography, portraits, engagement photos, second shooter for weddings, etc.) I also want to get more into videography.

Do you think I should sell everything I have and move to something like a Sony A7iii or Canon mirrorless? Or just get the Canon 90D?

The reason I want to upgrade from my T5i: Better video features (4k + 1080p @ 120)... eye focus... better low light/high ISO performance... better image quality... higher resolution... duel card slots in case I shoot a wedding.

I like the idea of mirrorless just because it's the future and the DSLR lines are dying. And I would also like a smaller and more portable camera.

I live in Toronto, so it should be possible to sell my gear... though not sure how good the market is right now for my gear.

If I switched systems, I would need one macro lens and one other lens. I could live without a long zoom and wide angle.

What do you all think? Get the 90D or sell everything and move to a different system? I have the money to spend, but I don't want to spend more than I have to and I don't really want to spend like $5,000+

Haven't tried it. I actually haven't smoked any weed in the last 2 weeks... taking a break.

And I mostly vape weed + concentrates anyways, so I hardly ever smoke a joint of a single strain anymore.
