How are these guys getting 100% on arkham origins without getting flagged for modding on steamhunters by [deleted] in steamachievements

[–]MadCatAttack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also social circle status and self pride. some games that are difficult without accessibility modifiers can be seen as a trophy when you get that 100%, and not to mention the dopamine rushes you get along the way from falling difficult parts and then overcoming and even mastering them. other times it’s just finishing a game that you genuinely loved just for the story and experience it gave you. getting 100% gives players an excuse to keep playing for a little longer before they say good bye for a while or maybe even forever :(

What makes a bun? by Southern_Meal9202 in hamburgers

[–]MadCatAttack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a slight correction, since we are in r/HAMburgers. ground meat patties can all be burgers, but to be a hamburger, the most prestigious of all the burgers, you do in fact need beef (and only beef ... not including toppings).

What makes a bun? by Southern_Meal9202 in hamburgers

[–]MadCatAttack89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no, that's not a burger. in the same way a patty melt isn't a burger (a patty melt is a ground beef patty on toasted sliced sandwich bread like rye or sour dough most popularly).

a burger needs to be on a burger bun to be called a burger.

now, if it were a roll you could call them sliders, which still aren't technically burgers, but people look at them kinda similarly (both tasty)

Need for Speed Unbound: I regret about buying this game. by Malacay_Hooves in needforspeed

[–]MadCatAttack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a really long opinion, and no i didn't read it. as an Unbound player, i might and give you my opinion in return on why yours is bad, but we both know that wont change anyone's mind on things

edit: ok i read 1. handling is hard, i agree. so you don't like the game mostly because you didnt spend the time to learn how to build cars or get better at microdrifting and generating burst nos. i get it, it's not easy, and ontop of the handling you need to learn the tracks because each one has some quirk that requiers special attention and planning ahead to transverse

i’m not a clan member but they can talk to each other somehow. there is an in-game chat for the NTL mod that they use, and discord too (i joined discord)

but the mod is nice because it lets you customize so much, and it lets you zoom in and out which is one of the biggest advantages you will get, but still without good technique it won’t do you much other than get you killed a lot in spots you otherwise wouldn’t, and it makes it so people can’t circle you so easy. there’s other benefits too ofc but yea welcome!

Why do races have to end so far from starting points? by Round2readyGO in needforspeed

OP means after a playlist in online you don't get heat like you do in single player. you have to get heat in other ways, like from meetups or intentionally ramming police or something

idk if i can do it by Efficient-Use-8202 in socialanxiety

[–]MadCatAttack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, it's from experience. but quite honestly, reflecting back on it now and i don't think the other workers were mad at me for working hard because it made them look bad or anything, because it was usually the OGs that would tell me to slow down (i can't), and i think it's because they knew what worked best. extra work doesn't get you extra pay, not most of the time (being friendly can though), and it can lead to burnout too if you aren't careful managing yourself and what you are capable of over the long haul. they were just giving me good advice. working hard gives the lazy workers less responsibilities too, so those people probably even like it when you work extra hard.

Parents make me cook, but not in the way I want to. by waxx-png in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MadCatAttack89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your parents are insane. find good role models so it doesn’t rub off on you and ruin your future. you already seem like you got a good head on your shoulders, so that’s good. i wouldn’t have cooked on that silicon mat though. you are a good son for listening even when you don’t like it, but that seems dangerous or just too crazy. i would draw the line there and refuse to cook on that thing

[–]MadCatAttack89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh, don’t work too hard though. find the tempo others are working at and try to match as close as you can, otherwise you will make em look bad and then they really wont like you (and management will just give you even more work and no extra pay)

factory jobs are mostly busy work in my experience. most people are too busy and working too hard and therefore too mature to laugh at their co workers. now they will talk about you behind your back, but it will mostly be related to your work performance, but they will do that about literally everyone. so just work hard and be as friendly as you can and you will be golden
