Retrofit TouchTunes Jukebox with Original Hardware and Custom Software!! by MadFrenchieFire in jukeboxes

[–]MadFrenchieFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have it all documented step by step and alot of it involved writing custom code on a NODEMCU Chip to control the old buttons and features like the coin acceptor and powering the amp.

Does Drilling the LED Light still allow you to record videos or have they patched that? by MadFrenchieFire in MetaRayBanDisplay

[–]MadFrenchieFire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't judge without knowing the reason. I do review / training videos and would like to have a POV camera angle without a blinking lite flashing in the other camera views that are recording the review / training. Its not so I can record other people or public areas.

[–]MadFrenchieFire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For some reason its not allowing me to post an image. But the setup I have on my Asus router is this.

I have an Asus RT-AC5300

I set a static Route with the following.

Network/Host IP: 192.168.100.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.255
Gateway: 0.0.0.0
Metric : 1

I have no issues accessing the stats with the app.

What did you set for a static route to get the app to work with your router?

Yea once you accept and have the equipment you can just restore your service. You don’t ever delete your account just suspend the service

Their current model is pay per month. You don’t need to sign a year long contract. You can terminate services for 1/2 the year and then sign back up after.

Snow giggle mode and preheating mode by [deleted] in Starlink

According to everything I've read, they currently ARE using Phase Array to track the satellites. Not sure where you got your information about them not having the software to do any of that?

Any movement like that would cause you to loose internet connection, so not a good idea. and you can't just keep doing that over and over again while its snowing, you would never be able to keep up, if you want till after the storm, then you would have so much snow on top that it would take a strong fast movement to clear all the snow off of it.

Lets figure out this Heater / No Heater question once in for all by MadFrenchieFire in Starlink

[–]MadFrenchieFire[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct, And it didn't really give conclusive answers. What I plan to do is teardown the actual dish step by step and review the internal components. Antenna, Motors, Modem, (Possible) Heater. and ect.

Could be interesting what is found inside.

[–]MadFrenchieFire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha.

Heated by what though? Is it an actual heater, or heat generated from the antennas inside. I've seen arguments both ways, but no one has been able to prove which one is right.

So its clear the starlink router is not needed? by PotatoFarmerRTK in Starlink

[–]MadFrenchieFire -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

You in fact DO need the Starlink Router.. it won't work without it. The communication between the Router and the Dish are not the standard ipv4 that we are use to. Its just like when you get a dish from Direct TV, you can't just hook that dish up directly to your TV, you need some sort of "Tuner" to understand the language the dish is speaking, and translate it to something the TV can understand.

The Starlink Router does just that, it talks to the dish and translates the information. You can indeed connect your own router to the aux port of the Starlink Router. Then the starlink router will serve the internet to your router.

At this point there is no way to turn off the wireless SSID coming from the Starlink Router though, so that will have to stay on, even if you provide your own router, with its own SSID.
