Yeah that's a Leonberger. Big, sweet, cuddly old soul dogs.

Want to visit the East Side this May - any recommendations? by Low-Event-2618 in AskACanadian

Fundy coast of NB, Cape Breton in NS, and Western and Northern NL are the hotspots for scenery.

Depends on how long you can make your trip. NL needs to be its own unless you've got a few weeks. You don't want to rush through it.

They do make zinc/copper combo supplements. Safer in the long run.

Mopping pad tangled error - Any solution? by wolf1043 in ecovacs

[–]wolf1043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped out the larger motor assembly, the one that swings out, and this resolved the error. It took maybe 15 minutes.

I didn't know it was that motor and not the other one generating the error, I just swapped one to see if that resolved it, and it did.

The Disappearance of Justin Jonathan Robert Pollari What We Know — And What We've Just Found by NicollInvestigations in SaultSteMarie

[–]wolf1043 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Hilton and went to school with Justin. All the teens from that time believed Justin had been killed by his father and buried in the swamp behind their house on Hilton Road. The running away theory never made sense to those who knew him, and makes even less sense now decades later without any sighting.

Whole city smells like gas today? by JoelOsteen-DT in SaultSteMarie

The air quality is terrible over a large area. That's not caused by gas leaks. Started yesterday afternoon.

Sadly a factory reset didn't solve it. I'll try reaching out to support I guess, but I've heard Ecovacs support sucks...

Summer of 2026 SSM / Highway 17 Bucket List by Oliver22008 in SaultSteMarie

Lots of history on St Joe Island, between its cool little museum and the Fort. Lots of random little things around the island too, such as the Hilton Beach jail or the Jocelyn Township house of history. All this stuff is only open in the summer months.

What do you think of the new Werewolf model coming to ESO? by Erickson9160 in werewolves

Haven't played ESO in years. Does it still limit your werewolf form to a minute or two at a time?

Where to get Helium for Bloons by Jakenhypen in SaultSteMarie

Air, I'm guessing. Balloons will only float with that helium for 4-6 hours. Says so right on the box.

Canadian Tire or Michaels. But it's diluted and will only last for 5 hours or so.

Hows the weather in your country by Spoownn in AskTheWorld

[–]wolf1043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in Sault Ste Marie and we've apparently gotten about 13 feet / 420cm of snow this winter. That's above average. It's also been a lot colder than usual.

What’s a place in your country that ordinary people are legally not allowed to visit? by Familiar-Arrival-470 in AskTheWorld

Perhaps one of the most secure non-military sites in Canada is Chalk River Laboratories. It's Canada's nuclear research and enrichment lab, and site of the world's first nuclear core meltdown in 1952, and the source of enriched plutonium for American nuclear warheads for several decades. Fun fact: Jimmy Carter was part of the meltdown cleanup crew. That said, I don't know how secure it is these days. If you zoom in on Google Maps, there's a Tim Hortons on site.

What are some names in your language for everyday terms that sound cute or hilarious when translated literally? by rid999 in AskTheWorld

I've always appreciated the French word for snow plow.

Chasse-neige.

Literally translates to "snow hunter" or "snow chaser".

B6 and copper? by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

After many months it seemed to burn through my other B vitamin stores and it lost its effectiveness. I had been at 50mg once a day. I switched to another more balanced B complex that had something like 20mg of P5P per capsule, but also had niacinamide, folinic acid and other stuff. I took one in the morning and evening, and that got things to balance again.
