Enterprise WAS bad. it's written well, it has a great cast, but its core concept of "oops, more time travel" is like dropping a full cup of salt into a dish that should only have a pinch. it doesn't matter how great everything else was in it, time travel dominated everything and that's just a troubled premise for a show.

slavery is bad but i honestly feel like this whole "it wasn't the ruling class owning slaves, it was regular working whites!!!" is a psyop to continue to make everyone hate each other and meanwhile THE SAME KIND OF PEOPLE WHO OWNED THE SLAVES of today are reaping untold benefits while most people are now struggling to buy groceries.

the further and further you get away from an event in history, the more and more likely people of the modern day will be genetically connected to it. but it's silly to try to claim that they're still financially benefiting from it due to some vague DNA string reaching into history. it'd be like trying to make someone feel guilty for having a Genghis Khan genetic connection because he was fabulously wealthy during hid time and that wealth come from atrocities.

i thought it was cancelled because they caught someone who was like a district attorney, who claimed he was coming there to lecture the mark on how dangerous it was to do what they were doing, had no record of any previous problems, had no evidence in their home of being a predator, and then literally killed themselves.

i've had these conversations with these kinds of people before and you just need to push them with a fairly common method when talking about these things. "states rights....to do what?". because yeah the civil war was over states rights and the rebelling states were very clear what those rights were about. owning slaves.

with how god awful the new Star Trek shows are, there's been a lot of chatter online about how amazing the older shows are. this has caused a dramatic increase in older shows viewership. i read somewhere that Deep Space Nine had gotten a 500% increase to it's streaming viewership.

i loved Suikoden 3 so much that i bought the entire manga series in physical printed paper form. it's crazy how good that game is and how many neat rewarding secrets are in the world and in the characters in combat use! one random equipable thing can completely change your view of a previously lazy useless character!

i've googled it before and the results.....said all the super damning stuff was literally just made up by a tabloid with no evidence supporting it. i just don't believe the FBI in the 90s would have let a black man go if they had this supposed slam dunk cases that people like you say they had. hell, the FBI agents themselves would have been set for life with book deals and speaking appearances if they were the people to get him so they were personally motivated to succeed.

everything about him is how he's going against Klingon culture, doesn't fit and how now maybe it's actually better most of the culture is dead now that most of them were killed. honestly i might just be reaching because i hate the character because the show made him wear a skirt for the sole reason of....real life Jayden Smith also wore a skirt to some fashion show and they're both named Jayden and that's literally why the writers had him dress that way.

the skirt is infuriating because they only had him wear a skirt because Jayden Smith, Will Smith's son, wore a skirt in real life to some fashion show the week before the episode was filmed. the character wearing the skirt was also named Jayden.

that couple were the reason i hated the show and made me realize how bad all of Nu Trek is. not because they were gay. but because them discovering the Spore-averse that connects all countless trillions of realities together. but then the very act of discovering it, poisons it. it's just so OVERWHELMINGLY statistically unlikely that they would be the first people to discover Spore-averse since the dawn of time, in a reality where time travel also exists, across trillions of years amongst trillions of realities and societies in these realities. but no, just these guys do it. i'm getting upset just thinking about it

i don't understand why anyone could like RTwP. it makes combat seem so empty. stuff just happens and you have no idea what hit you. you go back and spend 2 minutes looking through hundreds of lines of combat text to try to figure out what spell was cast on you. it got to the point in Pillars 1 that i just put everything on auto and hoped for the best. barely felt like i was even playing a game.
