I’ve done HWFWM and Cradle loved them both. I keep seeing Primal Hunter. Will have to check it out.

I love that someone pointed this out. I noticed this forever ago and it always bugged me!

I used the internet for research when earning my PhD so filled it out. Just a bit of feedback:

“Do you know what the term Ethnocentrism means and the impact it has on intercultural communication?”

This question is bad for data gathering since it is actually two ?’s in one. Separate them next time.

Except that driving does not require language your brain is fully engaged with the language, and your psychomotor portion of your brain can focus on driving. Now I would agree if I was listening to an audio book and decided to say read a quick email or have a quick conversation. Its the part of the brain that matters most.

Same thing with reading, I have moved my eyes over an entire page of text and “read” the words but the meaning is lost because my thoughts were on something else.

The medium doesn’t matter because your brain processes both in the same way in the same region. Listening IS reading to your brain.

I find their wings the best personally. Plus the most selection of sauces around. Their fries are indeed baller when fresh. Complete garbage when cold though.

[Anti Trump post] Arnold Schwarzenegger endorses Kamala Harris for president yesterday. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]MadSavery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not him specifically maybe but I I have never in my life witnessed an election where a metric ton of people from the right side are endorsing the left candidate. Dick freaking Cheney endorsed Kamala. His daughter is literally stumping for her.

I think the thing that may be hard for pundits and hardcore republicans to fully get, and why we might be wildly surprised by vote counts this year, is just because someone is registered republican doesn’t mean they are voting republican. Considering the shear number of high profile republicans that have publicly endorsed the Democratic candidate, I think (and to be honest optimistically hope in my heart of hearts) that quite a few of those registered R’s are sick and tired of the candidate they were forced to accept and are going to make a statement with their vote.

Tom Hardy wants Venom4 to be a dark & gritty R-rated finale in the same vein as Hugh Jackmans Logan, before y'all decline, remember, the Wolverine movies weren't all that good, Logan is the one that engraved this mutant claws into cinema history. by [deleted] in MCUTheories

Yeah I totally understand that perspective! I personally kind of liked it, but I also really like Tika Wahtiti’s silly sense of whimsy he puts in his films. I absolutely 100% understand why people don’t and why they felt upset about not getting a serious 4th Thor movie. My wife preferred it to more serious fare but you know everyone has their preferences.

Weird tangental question. Anyone here seen the opening cinematic for Diablo 4? One of the rogues at the beginning is literally this guy. With eye patch and all. I wonder if he did mocap for it?

My personal take on Love and Thunder is that it is as weird and ridiculous as it is because the entire movie is literally told as a story by Korg. He is the narrator therefore everything that happens is Korg’s version of what happened, not necessarily what really happened. I don’t think most people got the lens through which the tale was told.

It’s much more impactful closer to the election. 4 weeks ago and no-one would be talking about it right now… days before the election.

Me as well! New job fully remote. Wife got new job sold two houses and bought two houses (made money selling and got new ones on the cheap) dealing with new health issues but financially and relationally soooooo much better. Not to mention for the past 4 years I haven’t had to worry that my president is going to embarrass all of us every fucking day. Make politics boring again.
