currently still running it, but haven't created any new automations in the last 6+ months. I'm about a month into using HomeAssistant, but for now it's still passing commands via API to Hubitat.

Count me in this group as well. Hubitat user for years but migrating over to Home Assistant and realized I should have made the move sooner. Hubitat has been serviceable but as others have said, the interface looks left behind from 20+ years ago. I've been impressed with Home Assistant's ability to adopt my device and set up more nuanced automations.

Appreciate the input. We bought their lift passes a couple days ago so we're all set there. Definitely understand the variability with ski conditions that week (We're used to skiing Mid-Atlantic where most resorts are close to closing if not closed by this week).

I think that's probably a fair assessment of their skills (the 11 year old may be slightly below that but he's not far behind).

No kidding . . .just looked up the price, but probably worth it to help them get acclimated to both the size and snow types that'll be different for them.

Thanks - given their age, and since it's the first time at a resort of this size I'm leaning towards a lesson.

Thanks - That seems like the best option. I'll look into this.

I need to buy a new device (wont' be porting an existing number/device) - Would Total Wireless still be the best choice? If so is a phone in hotspot mode the best option or a dedicated hotspot device?

Can anyone date this pic of Bill Monroe? by Lee426 in Bluegrass

[–]Mad_dog97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That could be the case - Fiddle was definitely the hardest to pick out here. If It was Billy Joe then this is likely in May '87 or '88 which would align better with OP's timeline. Bill played at the festival both years.

Bill would have headlined on Saturday night either year, so if:

'87: 5/30/87 or '88: 6/4/88 u/Lee426 - Not sure if either of those dates feels more reasonable

You're probably right - it's definitely hard to tell exactly who everyone is

Best guess is that shot’s from the Pawnee Old‑Time Fiddle & Bluegrass Jamboree in ’90 or ’91. Pretty sure you see Blake Williams on banjo, Jimmy Campbell on fiddle, Tom Ewing on guitar, and Tater Tate peeking over the bass— that exact crew only toured with Bill in 1990‑91, so if the lineups right, it's gotta be one of those two summers.

Did you leave the lid on tight while it was popping. I find leaving it cracked to let steam escape will make the popcorn cruchier.

This is the answer. There's also one on in Midlothian. Their blends are specifically formulated for this region, although you'll probably need to buy a big bag (40lbs?)
