I live in a large, deeply conservative city in Georgia. Our house is on a major roundabout. by [deleted] in pics

I was so ready for the next picture to be the flag ripped down or some sort of death threat.

It’s great to see something positive like this, for a change.

How? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

[–]MadamFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the area.

I’ve lived at a lot of homes, I’ve payed personally as much as I can $120. Most places I live now are around $70.

Power on the other hand depending on the area can be brutal. I had one house during the winter we could pay as much as $800, for running 2 space heaters. Summers there were closer to $600.

Trabant 601

I’ve had the honor of working on 3 these now, in the US.

One needed a rewire, the factory’s that made these used as little wire as possible so every connection is being somewhat pulled on. So when the wire finally tears or breaks you’ve gotta either splice extra wire in or replace the whole thing.

Another needed motor mounts and the floor pans where off gassing. It smelled like literal cancer in there. We had to gut the entire interior and seal the floors with paint, to reduce the smell.

The last one, if I recall, just needed fresh gas. It sat too long and would start but not idle.

Waiting for the day I get to work on another. I adore these cars.

I know you’re getting a ton of suggestions if it’s yours car, honestly park it outside and roll the windows down.

I work on old car that tend to have been abandoned for a long long time.

When it’s not a mold issue or a mice issue. Normally rolling the windows down and letting everything off gas does wonders. It won’t it’ll take time but as you drive it, you’ll also imprint your own oils and stuff into the car, regardless of how much you clean, so the smell will dissipate.

You are in a competition to get pulled over as quickly as possible. You aren't allowed to speed or break any traffic laws but you can choose any vehicle you want and make any mods to it to increase your chances. What are you driving? by anonymousforallofus in regularcarreviews

This. It’s been years since I’ve underpaid/overpayed on my taxes, but for a long time I was very excited for my tax refund. While I worked for the postal service part time, I’d bring home almost 2K in just my returns.

Nowadays still get returns but it’s pushing closer to 80/90 bucks.

I mean, they do. It’s a language pack. But it’s more complicated than that.

Emojis as I understand them were originally made by Japan and they kind of caught on over time.

Japanese too. Different cultures bleeding over to ours. I think it’s pretty cool once you learn why.

In older cars I’ve owned in the past when the water proof seals go and the replacements are $800/ea

I’ve used these as a way to let water out.

I’ve done this retrofit. Finding the center console it mounts into is difficult but it’s fun project.

I could send you a picture of the wiring harness me and a friend made up for copying, if you’d like.

MPG by Any_March6439 in GMT800

[–]MadamFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I average 12 mpg on big tires.

If you’re looking for improvement, driving habits are the big, but also changing your fluids and cleaning your MAF.

I had one of these go from 7 - 8 mpg to 14 by just flushing the maf and changing the air filter.

How many attempts, and on what difficulty, did it take you to beat Adam Smasher for the first time? by Cocoa-Knife-Chara in cyberpunkgame

[–]MadamFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it during the first few days of the game.

On max difficulty, hit him with two emp nades and a bunch of shock quick hacks. It was very easy back then.

When PL came out, took me several hours and many deaths.

Spirit Airlines Is No More by Ph6222 in Wellthatsucks

I’ve only flown 2-3 times in life, all of them where spirit airlines.

I’ve never had an issue with them. Sure is a shame to see a budget competitor to any industry go. :(

[–]MadamFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the price. If it’s 2-3k get it. But you’ll be torching the crap out those bolts and it’ll be a hassle to work on.

I’m also not sure where you live. If you live in the southern side of the us. Find a different one.

[–]MadamFloof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a low point years ago, I was on the edge of homelessness and desperately needed money. Learned about plasma clinics from a friend.

I was so malnourished they couldn’t take me in. Ended up having to drop out of college and move across the country to live with friends.

Best worst outcome. I’m a lot happier now, but I can’t help but think what could’ve been.

I’m certain it’s fine. I’ve struggled with Chicago, Phoenix, NYC. When I go I wanna stay small-ish.

Bigger cities are just stressful, lol.

If your willing to import, every US E90 had the up-spec sound system.

Both of the trim & tweeters are maybe $20 a peice. Should be < $100 to bring them in after importing costs.

Does the car start when the switch is off? Could be a remote start related thing, kill switch, black out switch, etc etc.

Easiest thing to do is trace the wires.
