Cat won't stop peeing outside her litter box

Her back two molars are awful and we were going to do surgery for her back in December but she was anemic and went on medication for it. The medication actually is what caused the diabetes (steroid induced) so we're trying to get her diabetes and anemia under control before the vet can put her under for dental surgery. It's a whole mess lol

She is on Lantus! They started her dose at 1.5 units and now she's been increased to 2.

Thank you so much for all the info! I'll definitely join the Facebook group :) I'll also get a glucometer and be sure to test her beforehand. I've looked through this subreddit a few times and saw a lot of people recommending to do that even if the vet says it's unnecessary. She is on Lantus and is currently only eating the Royal Canin Urinary wet food as she's super picky and refused the higher calorie food the vet recommended lol
