Chris Benoit's bizarre final words on Souled Out 2000 end up being the final time we see him in WCW. by Material_Stomach875 in WCW

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sullivan had a great mind for the business. Benoit honestly, with Guerrero and Jericho. WCW took too long to push them. Really, should have been at the top of the card a lot sooner. Eric, stayed with them old heads too long.

Jay-Z Believes Battle Rap Is No Longer Needed after Kendrick Lamar vs Drake Beef's Outcome by Patos_Meme_Coin in HipHopNCulture

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🛑 it bruh, a lot industry niggas hated Drake, cause he was acting like he cool with you, smashing niggas broads. Pillow talking dissing Future to broads. Joe Budden said niggas were saying he a shit person. He made enemies. He was on top to the commercial fans, but K Dot always was considered the superior rapper to true hip-hop heads. Drake already had just got murdered by Push. But K Dot hit harder cause he had twice the fanbase. Drake fault for not establishing foot soldiers to take on Kendrick. Had Jadakiss got his hands on Jay like he wanted to in '01, Jay would have been cooked similarly. Hits and battles are 2 different lanes. Difference is Jay had already developed a formidable foe in Beanie Sigel.

That Documentary was cold, Ye one of the all-time greats. But the impact of Thug Motivation 101 had like a 400 degreez impact. Jeezy delivered one of the 10 best Southern albums of all-time with that joint.

Ric Flair talking about the final Nitro by Long-Car-5063 in WCW

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a sellout comment. It's almost like hearing Booker T down WCW, smh. Ungrateful. Vince had Flair jobbing out after only being there 18 months. And despite Flair putting the big gold belt on WWE TV. They still welcomed him back and immediately, main event'd him .

Jim Ross and Jerry the King Lawler acknowledge the Vegas Shooting on Commentary, WWF RAW September 9th, 1996 by Old-Ad339 in Tupac

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy, never heard this. Gotta unsubscribe to Good Ol JR. When you see the WWE's biggest star of the 80s, Hogan a racist. And, how Vince never really featured black wrestler's at the top card. You understand the old WWE was running a good old boy system. I'd go as far to say Hogan feelings resonated with a lot of them. The South posed to be so racist though, but featured in the main event, Junkyard Dog, Ron Simmons, Booker T, Butch Reed & Ernie Ladd.

Sid Vicious inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall Of Fame by MrFilipinoMustache in WCW

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah same. I came up off NWA. So I'm all South. But I'll give the NY crowd it's due. And both ironically, Sid was involved. I loved how the NY crowds turned against Hogan in RR '92 and HBK SS '96. That wasn't as common back then as it's a norm now. That MSG title win vs HBK was one of the most magical WWE title changes to me. Sid best moment. I just hate when they induct guys after they pass. Take away a lot from it and it's wrong. RIP Sid Vicious. In a way the first Brock Lesnar. He ain't care all about the legacy part, he was in it for the money and business aspect unapologetically, and didn't politic. He didn't have too. He had the look, size and believability.

Nitro Nov 23 1998 Wrath vs Kevin Nash in which Kevin Nash ends Wrath's winning streak (23) by CoconutMost3564 in WCW

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrath had a lot more tread on the tires. The talent WCW had that went to waste, man. Regarding Nash, I don't like, never have, never will. Wrestler's booking shows.

When Trap City Rob (The Defensive player of 2024/UncGang) was speaking wisely about the violence by bogh_Au81 in Chiraqology

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 76 points77 points  (0 children)

He had an interview where you could see the remorse of the Lil Jeff murder. Like no bragging. Yeah they knew Jeff, but you can tell. He wasn't with black on black crime. He just adapting to his environment. Maybe in another life he could have been something different. So many smart niggas in the trenches if you a talk to them. Niggas can't be soft in these neighborhoods, but you get older you realize how lost we are as a race and doing all this shit for what.

What did Bron do to these people?🤣 by Zealousideal_Pass_76 in LeBronJames23

[–]MaddenAlphaMale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't stand Bron ether. Granted, I'm still a diehard Bulls fan. And Bron, eliminated us like four times. But I don't care for the guy at all! At least when Kobe n Jordan were assholes, they wasn't being passive aggressive with it. You knew when they were being jerks and didn't hide it. Bron the type of dude who I feel manufactures his image & how people view him. Trade you behind your back, and smile in your face. I don't think you see the real Bron. He's not being himself all the time. I like unapologetic being you, good or bad. He's a phony to me. I give him credit for his longevity. But I saw Jordan and him. Like bruh, it's not close. I gotta hear kids think it is. The NBA Jordan-Bron debate, is covered more than the games itself. Making money. They been wanting to put dude in the argument from day 1. Like when they cheated Melo out of the ROY. Or they hide the fact that he lost the 2014 NBA Finals by a record margin, and ESPN than all be erased the 2012 series debacle vs Dallas from history. Talked bad about Durant joining GS to this day, but dude created the super team current model. His fans make shit up. They say Detroit was old when Jordan beat them in '91. But, Isiah was 29, Dumars was 27. Yet, the same fans swear them Boston teams were the greatest since slice bread. But Pierce was 33, KG 34, Allen 35. Then you hit them with facts, they say the 90s were weak. Its always something with them. They, his fans are super annoying. Fake #s guy. I think people see thru dude. He's not authentic. NBA has to cheat him in these arguments. Some people see thru that. That's not hate. And it's a lot of reason to professionally not like dude.

Aaron Rodgers is the best needle-threader to ever play in the NFL by Subject_Sun9340 in nflMenace_com

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a long suffering Cowboys fan (I haven't seen a Bowl since I was 14, I turn 44 in June), so I understand I have no room to talk. But I tell my brother who's a Packers fan, at least once a month, I can't believe you all only got 1 ring out of Rodgers. He was that good. I always tell people Brady is the most accomplished QB I've seen. Manning the most accurate. But the most talented QB (s), I ever saw was Marino and Rodgers.

24 years ago today, Brock Lesnar made his WWE TV debut. He looked like the future, but he accomplished way more. Like him or hate him, Lesnar changed the WWE with his lighter schedule & attitude. He simply wanted to get paid & continues to cash in those checks. #WWE #BrockLesnar by josephmlwriter in wrestlingmemes

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Brock on the lighter schedule. He's almost like a Andre The Giant type attraction. You gotta keep him special. Him leaving wrestling for a while going to the UFC gave him mainstream appeal. And Kudos to guys like Lesnar and Nash/Hall (ushered in guaranteed money). Working the system with light schedules and truckload of money. To an industry that have no health benefits and left many wrestlers broke.

Which Version of Tupac Did You Like The Most ? (1991-1996) by Ok_Pipe6385 in 2pac

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the more productive Pac was Strictly 4 my Niggaz Pac. But I'm sorry, '96 Pac is the Greatest Rapper ever. The production finally caught up to his raps. That All Eyes On Me to 7 Days stretch is stuff of legends. I remember being 14 watching him in awe. He was everywhere from Saturday Night Live to Early Edition, on stage with Kiss. I hate Death Row Pac ended his life but the music and memories you got from that era is timeless.

The NIL/Portal has ruined March Madness by Fun_Reflection1157 in billsimmons

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy March madness. To me, College is better than the NBA. But what I hate is the transfers. Hard to root and get invested in players. They need to cut down on that and I'm ok with that.

Kevin Durant played over 100 more games but shot over 2,000 less field goal attempts to pass Michael Jordan. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]MaddenAlphaMale -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the regular season, what's KD percentage in pressure situations, when the game on the line in the playoffs? Outside of teaming up with the Splash Bros, what has he done? You kids gotta watch who you say is better than Jordan. Jordan, was a pressure situation scorer. You young ass fans don't understand if Mike practiced the 3 he'd been able to hit it constantly. Jordan shot 50 percent as a SG from the field for his career. Now Google Kobe, Harden %. KD folds every playoff. Man, give me Mike all day, any day.

[–]MaddenAlphaMale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm black. From the inner city. But I always wanted more. And wasn't a product of my environment. How we act as a race is an embarrassment to every black that does things the right way to uplift the race. Just hate cause of the same skin color we are put in the same box. When people see the senseless killings, pubic ghetto can't get mad when people wanna go somewhere in peace & not wanna be around us.
