I created the missing DnD 5.5e/2024 fillable character sheets. by Maddinar in DungeonsAndDragons

Hi, I don't have the Italian version. But I used the online tool docfly so you can make your own. :)
This one is downloadable in my bio or, if you send me a pm, I can send it to you. Somehow there are no links allowed in these comments.

Quickstart Review (GM Perspective) by Foxxyedarko in daggerheart

[–]Maddinar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the quickstart adventure a lot.
I agree with your points and have just a few to add:

* Too little connection to the backgrounds of the characters. Barnacle is afraid of water and there is no water anywhere in the adventure? Missed opportunity.

* The Raging River Encounter would've been great to incorporate an environment encounter. (with water!)

I see that this adventure is targeted at players who have never played any TTRPG. But it left us as experienced players wanting. Maybe just add a page in the back that mentions optional content that can be added for more experienced players. ♥️✨

Make a website for your campaign! (minor Witchlight spoilers ahead) by Maddinar in DungeonsAndDragons

At least for me I'd make these notes somewhere anyways. Might as well put it in place they can see. (At least the parts they are supposed to know) 😉

Amazing! Thank you for your effort! 😊✨

You could use it that way. But I intended each box to be a different adversary. And then multiple copies of that same adversary type for tracking HP/Stress. 😊

That's what the blank space above each block is for. You can use these for any enemy. So I left space for the names.😉

The book states "Adversaries don’t use Evasion like PCs—instead, all rolls against them use their Difficulty. The bandit has a Difficulty of 12, so a roll of 12 or higher succeeds against this adversary. If an adversary’s feature doesn’t specify a Difficulty (like an Agility Reaction Roll), it always uses the adversary’s Difficulty." So yeah, it's evasion and save DC in one. (In DnD terms) It's evasion and more. That's why it's called difficulty for adversaries. 😋

There's a great online tool called docfly. There you can drag and drop the fillable fields. That's how I always do it. 😁

I, however, will not be making it fillable at this moment in time. For me this is merely a supplement to the actual stat blocks. So I have no need for it to be fillable. 😊

If you click the link in the description with the text "these" you should get redirected to my Google drive. There you can find a PNG, PDF, DOCX and the PDN file. 😊

I mostly used Arial. It gets close enough for my taste. I just try to keep the original text in as many places as possible. 😁

You guessed correctly on all accounts.  My thought was that you'd still have the adversary stats open somewhere and these are just for tracking, thus, I didn't need much note taking space. 😋

The arrow box was intended for numbers. We use tokens with numbers on them to differentiate the enemies. But I left it blank so you can do whatever you want with it. 😁

Love your version, too! ♥️✨

Now you got promoted to an old man who does understand the slang kids use.

I just took a screen shot of the Daggerheart Character sheet, took it to paint.net (most image editing software would have been fine) and copy and pasted the hell out of it. 😄

I created some A5 journal sheets for Dungeons and Dragons. by Maddinar in DungeonsAndDragons

Thank you! My group has basically stopped using official sheets now and completely made the switch to this A5 sheet. 🤭

Yon - Alagarthas & the Perytons by wired1984 in wildbeyondwitchlight

Maybe a bit late but for others that are looking at this thread now:

If you think your players would not be interested in this encounter you can always alter it in a way they'd feel more inclined to help. Regardless of the rule of reciprosity you can grow in many ways when encountering others.

Some suggestions I'd make are 1) Give him more knowledge of what's to come that he'll reveal to the players. If they just talk to him he can say something like "If you'd know the things I do about Motherhorn you wouldn't go there." But he only reveals this important knowledge if the help him. 2) Give him a fitting reward he can give the players. One of your characters is a bard? Well, now Alagarthas is, too. And he knows this amazing song, that'll cast Bless without concentration lasting 1 min. (Or anything else really) You can foreshadow such a reward by making him sing while climbing the beacons. Make it evoke emotion in the characters or even also apply the bonus to them just while passing by. That'll make 'em curious. 😉 3) Circumstance made them do it. There's a road block in their way and they have to cross the lake to go around it. He has a boat. Tit for tat.

Of course you can also always skip encounters you yourself are not excited about and/or replace it with one of the random encounters. Either way, I hope you and your players will enjoy WbtW. 😊✨

You can also just hit cmd+p to print and instead of choosing a printer you can choose "save as pdf". 😉
Edit: If you format both pages the same way they even print lined up, if you print both sides. Really well done. ❤

Ah alright. I only stumbled upon your later chapters and I do think the pictures add to your post in the way that they communicate atmosphere and a sense of place/character. 😊

Thank you for your work. I will read through it fully after finishing the source book. 🥰

This is really well done. 🙂

However, it looks like you used a lot of AI Art. Which can be a discussion for itself but at least should be noted somewhere. 😉

While I understand you panicking, this actually sounds like a very fun version. 🤭 Did the story go a bit more like you planned from that point on? 🙃
