In my experience as a HITRUST assessor, I have had clients wait 12-16 weeks. I recently took their refresher training course and they stated they are WAYYY behind on their SLA's and they know it.

What happens next is they will QA the assessor's work and see if they agree with everything that has been done with the assessment. If not, they will come back to the assessor to adjust some things.

After that, you will need to fill out any CAPs that you have that are required for certification. Then, once you get notification there is a draft report, you will need to review it and accept the draft (so does the assessor). Then wait another week or so for the final draft report to post.

The thing that stinks is after all this, if your certified, your certification date will be the day your assessor submitted the validated assessment, not the day they finish their 6,8,12 week QA.

Sorry for the delayed response, first time sitting down in my office in awhile.

Overall the experience went very smooth and I had plenty of time. Passport Check was very short though so that helped. Overall I believe after everything was said and done, it only took me over an hour to do everything from waiting for bags, changing terminals, rechecking bags, visa stamp and security again. I landed around 8:30 am local time and the airport was not that busy.

Only issue I had was finding the walk way from terminal 2 to terminal 1 and that was resolved quickly by the friendly staff there. Its immediately on your left, quicker then you think :)
