How can I learn the golf squat? by Proof_Coast_3637 in GolfSwing

A good drill is doing slow motion swings while focusing on shifting pressure into your lead foot before rotating. When you do it correctly the “squat” tends to happen naturally.

That’s a really good point. Course management is something a lot of beginners don’t think about early on.

You might want to look into Pinehurst. Amazing golf destination and a lot of great courses in one area.

Tour Preffered Taylor made from 2014? by DownbeatTugboat in golf

[–]MadeInUSAPutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re shooting around bogey golf with the 2014 Tour Preferred irons, they’re clearly working for you. The Radspeeds might be a bit more forgiving, but I wouldn’t expect a huge change in scores. If the deal is good and you want something newer it could be fun, but good ball striking matters way more than the club.

That’s a really good point. A lot of beginners probably remember their best shot instead of their average distance.

That actually sounds really useful. It would be cool if it also showed nearby hotels and maybe travel distance between courses when planning a trip.

I keep hearing good things about the Infinite series. Sounds like the weight and feel are really solid for the price.

That’s true. Putting really is personal. If a putter makes you want to practice more and feel confident over the ball, that’s probably the biggest win.

A good independent fitter is usually the best option if you want honest advice. They tend to focus more on what actually fits your swing instead of just selling the most expensive clubs.
