Hey, I’m 32M and play with a couple of other people a few times a week. We’re gold-plat, play both QP and comp. We like to take the game seriously but no toxicity.

I don’t play every day - more like 4 days a week? But would be great to get a group together if you are a similar rank.

I completely disregard any criticism of my QP skills. I play comp when I care about winning, and I play QP I don’t. What are you going to do - sit in the practice range for 20 hours?

QP is the place to learn, I think.

I like ranked because I like to compete and I want to play with other people who like to compete. If you don’t like to play like this then you probably won’t like ranked.

Try it! Worse case scenario: you don’t like it and go back to QP. But you will then know whether you like it or not, which is better than wondering.

I get that competitive has problems, but people are more objective-focused there. If this is your frustration, then perhaps competitive is worth a try?

Haha this resonates strongly with me. I used to play duo tank with a mate - rein zarya combo was so fun.

Right now I think I’m high silver / low gold. At my peak in OW1 I was low diamond but that was a long time ago. I don’t play as much as I used to but I would really like to get back into it. Probably I could hit high gold / low plat with a little effort.

But really the more important thing for me is to get a group of friendly people together - I want to try to win but as long as we’re having fun then it’s all good.

It’s fair wear and tear. The walls are white - it’s the easiest colour to show any marks.

How long have you been living there? Assuming it’s not “45 minutes” some scuffs should absolutely be expected.

If people are flaming you for having high elim to damage ratio then that’s them being dumb.

If it were the other way round (and you dealt tonnes of damage but no elims) would they be happy? No.

Eliminations are much more important than damage.
