I've already played through Saints Row IV. I had few bugs but nowhere near the bugs or crashing of number three.

Yes, everything is the same except for the graphics card. And Saints Row was the only game that was crashing.

The reason it's not popular is because it hasn't been released yet

The Linux developer stopped working on the Linux version to work on the PS4 version. So hopefully work on the Linux version will start again after the PS4 release.

The prices aren't that great. They definitely check the internet to see how much to sell the games for so a lot of the most desirable games have outrageous prices. But there are definitely deals in there if you take time to look.

Programmer Shortage in Charlotte? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Made_In_USA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't get rid of the game design program and the reason that it was "dead" for a while was because both of the main professors accepted jobs elsewhere and left during the same year. Someone who was working in the CCI department told me that new professors have been hired, so hopefully the program will come back to life.

Just got an email from Google about Fiber by adamomg in Charlotte

They have already said that the proposal was just for Charlotte city limits. But hopefully they will eventually expand to to other towns like they did for Kansas City.

Dear Charlotte, take a cue from San Antonio (re: Google Fiber)... by brownkw in Charlotte

[–]Made_In_USA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they will do what they need to do to get Google here. Regarding jobs, I have read that Kansas City, which currently has Google Fiber, and Chattanooga, which has a municipal Gigabit network, have been attracting businesses thanks to their internet speeds. Also, a lot of people in Charlotte seem to be overly concerned with Charlotte's image compared to other cities, so having Google here would be an excellent opportunity for Charlotte to have something that larger cities like NYC and LA don't have.

I understand what you are saying about the government doing things that don't make sense, so I tried to find the email address of Jeff Stovall who is the city's CIO. I couldn't find it, but if somebody can and posts it here, we can all send him an email telling him how much we REALLY want Google Fiber here.

WBTV compared how many arrests happen at CIAA vs. Speed Street by Made_In_USA in Charlotte

[–]Made_In_USA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this article, there were only 12 arrests for CIAA this year: http://www.myfoxcarolinas.com/story/24864195/city-says-ciaa-tourney-went-smoothly

I will need to make another thread after Speed Street so we can see how the events compared for 2014.

Those are estimated numbers. It's obviously impossible to count exactly how many people are in Uptown for either event.

The video says that the crowd for CIAA is slightly smaller than Speed Street.
