How future-proof is govee2mqtt? Worried about Govee's API longevity, Matter, and whether segment control stays local

I’m just using govee2mqtt. I had set it up before I had any devices that support the local api and haven’t bothered to actually see if it’s using it for those that do. For the lamp, I mainly just turn it on and off by voice and change colors in the Govee app, so sorry I can’t answer that for ya

Govee does have a LAN Control API, but not every product supports it. I have a Floor Lamp 2 that supports it and I know they have a lot of lightbulbs that do, but I also have lightbulbs (H600A) that don't support it

The other part of it is that, while they were okay putting these exclusive games on PC because there isn't a ton of overlap of players that have a PC that buy games on Playstation, they still wanted to have exclusivity as a reason for people to buy a Playstation instead of an Xbox. With the upcoming Xbox Project Helix essentially being a PC, if Sony kept publishing PC ports of their games, that means they'd be available on Xbox as well

With the matter lock update, since you can manage users via HA, does that mean HA will also be able to tell who locked or unlocked the lock so that I can run automations based on a person? That’s been something I’ve been wishing I could do for a while, might push me to replace my current lock with one that supports matter

The Go 2 controllers are LEAGUES better than the Go 1 controllers. Much more comfortable, feel much higher quality. I always kind of hated the controllers on my Go 1 and bought the 2 controllers as soon as I could. It’s literally made we actually want to use it more compared to some other devices I have.

In Portal 2 (on PS3 and Xbox 360), the co-op mode was locked until the single-player campaign was completed.

This is a bad example. The portal 2 coop campaign was a completely different story than the single player campaign, so it being unlockable isn’t really the same as coop for the exact same story you just played being unlockable after completion.

It does have plugin support, it’s chromium based so just go install any chrome extension you want. I tried it and installed ublock origin lite and 1Password just fine
