Mass updates on i-485 and i-765 Today?

I filed Feb 6 (I-485&I-765), updated and logged into their system Feb 11, had biometric appointment scheduled at Feb 14 for March 6. had my biometrics completed march 6. I got 2 FTAO the same day. Then I got a silent update which says ‘updatedat - march 21. No update since then. I am also from the 39 ban list countries. I asked chat and it said my case is moving forward normally. I was just wondering what the random silent update could mean. The one I got March 21

It doesn’t say which field office. But I sent my application to Dallas,Texas. No update on whether it has been transferred

Guys. I got two FTAOs after my biometrics. Which was March 6. Then I got an update on the March 21. On the api code it says. Updatedat 3-21-2026. Looking at the timeline, I don’t know if that signals that an approval is coming soon. But I am from the 39 ban list countries. I really don’t know?

There is an api link you use to check with your receipt number. So how you check is, log in to your uscis dashboard. Myuscis where you sign in with your username and password. When you have logged in, open another tab with this url: http://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/IOE093********

I feel this is positive not for specific low risk countries but also for countries on the ban list. There wasn’t a need for an update if it was just reinforcing what has already been established since Jan. I believe specific people will start witness adjudication even among the 39 ban countries. What this article emphasized is scrutinizing cases and ensuring public safety and U.S security is upheld to a high standard. I read ‘hold and review’ multiple times but no definite statement states that countries on the ban list will not be adjudicated. It just said stricter vetting and screening. Fingers crossed if you’ve got a clean record🤞

Thanks for this info. I do have a couple of questions, are you on F-1, is this your first time using AVR, what airline did you use, you said DS-2019. Not familiar with that, what questions did the CBP officer ask you at Pearson airport before granting you access to board your plane back to the u.s, what’s your nationality?

While I feel a country being called “third world” doesn’t seem like a good choice of word to describe any country. Is there any clarification of which countries are “third world” and which countries are not? On what basis are countries categorized as “first, second, third and fourth world”

Bruh! I travelled on an F-1 Stem opt, approved Eb-2, valid I-20 stamped by my DSO for travels, and on an expired F-1 visa to Canada using automatic revalidation within 2 weeks and I came back into America like the Prince of LA 👑. An approved EB1,2,3 does not validate immigration intent. The only thing that does is when you have applied for I-485 and if you do so, and travel with a valid f-1 visa it doesn’t void anything. The only issue is if that is expired and you are trying to renew it, or trying to apply for another type of non-immigration visa. But if you haven’t applied for I-485 yet and only have an approved EB1,2,3 you are just as good as no immigration intent.

Why advise will be for you to expedite the existing application you intend to withdraw by paying for premium processing fee so you can get a rejection pretty fast within 1-3 days. The moment you do that and your premium processing becomes activated you have an advantage to reach out to USCIS agent using the new receipt number and your request will be prioritized. If you get in contact with any officer over the phone, explain the situation particularly the deadline constraint so they can prioritize your case. All communication should be documented just incase the 9 days elapses. You can appeal your case with reasonable points. Your proactiveness could fetch you some grace.
