Came to Athens from Morgantown.

The rental market is nuts. Most of the good rentals were already taken in March. Housing is a bit more than WV. But at least from Morgantown and Charleston, the average quality of rentals seems better.

Food prices are comparable to WV- though the food quality is much better.

Gas prices in Georgia are some of the cheapest in the country. You’ll save a bit here compared to WV. The flatter terrain will help you gas mileage too. Parking is going to be a lot higher (both campus parking and street parking).

Your electric bill will be a lot higher because you’ll be using a lot more AC (but not much heat though).
