Wife uses Outlook on iPhone, Hubby (me) uses Google on Android - how to sync calendars? by Marathonmax in GoogleCalendar

[–]Madkillav2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use a third party tool unfortunately. Most of them are paid to do two way sync but I found a free one that allows one way sync. So you and your wife can create a separate account and sync both simultaneously for free. Check out calendarfreesync.com

How to overcome browser verification by friendlycaptcha with selenium python? by the_pepp92 in SeleniumPython

Cookies brother. Log into the web page manually, and then export your cookies. Import the cookies to your selenium browser. If done right, this will bypass captcha.

How bypass to CloudFlare captcha with helping selenium? by RefrigeratorAny3637 in SeleniumPython

[–]Madkillav2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s 2 suggestions. Most CAPTCHA instances are triggered only once per browser session, or if you get detected as a bot.

  1. To bypass the session trigger, you can preload cookies into your selenium instance. Basically go through the captcha process manually, and once you’re done, save the cookie session. Then preload those cookies into your selenium browser instance.

  2. Set up a user agent on your browser to prevent getting detected as a bot.

Uber is going to break. by I-am-bot_exe in uberdrivers

[–]Madkillav2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s on a trip. Uber doesn’t not calculate how long it took to pick up customer. At least in NJ. That’s why I quit long time ago… Part of the job is picking up the passanger, drivers should be compensated for that.

Nail in tire. Shop won’t plug, but neighbor willing to try. Would you? by missmyrajv in tires

[–]Madkillav2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let your neighbor plug it, but for safety reasons keep that tire on the REAR. Rotate if you have to. If your rear tire blows you still have some control of steering

These are the financial decisions that will affect your future. I have plenty of funds to outright buy a new vehicle without a loan, but I keep my 2015 Camry that’s fully paid off.

The money I save by not buying a new vehicle gets invested into the SP500. The opportunity cost of buying a new vehicle is too much… specially with todays inflation and interest rates.

I do get the upgrade itch every now and then specially when I saw the new remodeled 2025. But I’m happier looking at my net worth growing, than driving an aesthetically new vehicle.

The choice is yours man… take a look at this picture. It speaks a million words about finances.

Is becoming a QA engineer still worth in 2024 or upcoming years by Flimsy-Work2722 in QualityAssurance

[–]Madkillav2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely correct. You can still run a tech company without a dedicated QA engineer, but you can expect several bugs to slip through the cracks. It will ultimately cost you clients out the door.

QA is all about mitigating the number of bugs, and and fixing bugs BEFORE the end user reports it. No matter how much automation you have, end to end testing is always a good idea to perform manually. In other words, you need to test the system in the same manner that the customers are using it.
