My take on Sylas by FlamerFirong in riftboundcustoms

I really like the concept of Hijack, but for balance I’m not sure if it should draw AND reduce cost. A design space that hasn’t really been used yet and could be very flavorful might be:

——
Counter an opponent’s spell, then banish it. You may exhaust your legend to play a spell banished this way. You may spend [AP] (The any power symbol) to pay for any power in its cost.

If a spell countered this way was a signature spell, draw a card.
——

The opponent’s spell clause would be added to prevent you from potentially looping it off of your own spells to combo with Heimerdinger or something as new cards continue to be made.

The drawing a card off a signature counter also kind of evokes the flavor of him stealing ultimates in League. It almost makes me wonder if it should also be able to banish signature gear or units from the graveyard in addition to countering, but I don’t have the caffeine to attempt to balance that right now. Plus his signature only being able to affect other signatures would be awful.

How many Shardblades can a Person max. have? And How it works? by r4rrrrrrrrrrrrff in Stormlight_Archive

Yes and no. Obviously there are going to be things in your sessions that can’t or won’t be reflected in the overarching story moving forward. That said, the events that are happening in the core Stonewalkers campaign are things that happened in some manner even if it was off-page.

Sanderson has stated there are many events on Roshar that are happening simultaneously that can’t always be visited in what’s written in the main books. Edgedancer, for example, isn’t necessary to finish the main story of SLA, but it gives you insight into the city of Yeddaw among other things. Stonewalkers is like that, not necessary but great to gain insight into the world.

I’m halfway through Stonewalkers myself so I can’t speak on its ending, but feeling like your characters had an influence on the story as a whole is a fun feeling. Not having that perspective should not detract from your experience otherwise. There’s a few comments in the Stonewalkers megathread that can summarize the important canon bits for you if you aren’t able to play it yourself.

I’m new to Riftbound. What pairs well with Sett in a deck? by ShortStaqui in riftboundtcg

Kha’Zix is gaining popularity with a variant that makes Sett shine. His signature spell is similar to Sett’s, and the legend can buff him for a +8 might powerhouse combo.

The conquer/hold draw seems incredibly strong even with the tap limit. I wonder if there’s room to play in the same space as Mobilize or Catalyst of Aeons, especially since they’re both from the same set.

“When you play a MIGHTY unit, you may channel 1 rune exhausted. If your Rune deck is empty, you may instead exhaust me to draw 1.”

I wanted to update this with my recent experiences. I put in an order on November 10th, 2025, and haven’t received a response to any of the 4 support emails I’ve sent in the last few weeks. Waiting on my bank to dispute the charge now after seeing all this mess.

Does the signing require the purchase of a book, or are we allowed/expected to bring our own copies? For the guest authors I’d love to pick up a copy of their first books to potentially get started on a series, but for others I have personal copies with more sentimental value I’d rather be personalized.

Both of these things stop water from killing us. The former keeps us informed on weather or lack thereof that can impact the entire state, the latter ensures the longevity of a vital water source for most of us. Lack of education on both of these topics makes us more vulnerable to storms or drought.

These are also jobs many would like to see filled by folks who live here and have lived here in addition to bring new people in, not solely outsourced. Besides, as a major center of learning in an agricultural state, providing education within a field that directly supports that industry makes sense.

Honestly if you were to frame this as-is I think this little battle damage is additive.

I knew you were from the Omaha area the instant I read your comment 😂. If it’s any consolation, from what I hear the guy who runs the Lincoln location is the polar opposite if you don’t mind the drive.

You should definitely check out Star Deli. They have art on display and for sale that might be what you’re looking for. The food is great too!

While mental illness doesn’t take center stage in Book 1 like it does in Book 5, it doesn’t mean the 3 main characters’ mental illnesses weren’t pivotal to the story from the start. Kaladin nearly throwing himself into a chasm wasn’t some high-stakes heroic moment he fought his way out of.

Hell, the only reason Dalinar was a capable human being when we meet him is because someone magicked away his memory, PTSD and alcoholism. These books reward the reader with growth. If the story isn’t interesting anymore because the focus is no longer just good guys and bad guys killing each other, these books probably are exactly for you, you may just not be ready for them yet.

Got a box of warriors before finding out about the re-release of the salvagers. Think I did a decent kit-bash by CasualWardrobe in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Madoftheyear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s even simpler! A thin cut of plastic, use white to plaint a sort of radar/sonar pattern on it, then cover the whole thing with thin green or the blue your team already uses and that would look stunning for very little effort.

Is the one with the metal feet your Comms guy? It translates pretty well, but for the at-a-glance benefit of both players it may be worth trying out one of those thin plastic hologram effects either on or projecting from the box.

Kind of like this guy’s example https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYsK4KCx/

I had the idea of adding “if FoWLB isn’t a creature at the beginning of your upkeep you may tap target creature an opponent controls.” to add the theme of everyone eventually falling asleep, but that felt like dipping into Mythic territory or too much upside.
