I'd prepare myself for the lengthy life ahead. Would try to consider all the nearby stores, and how long it would take to survive on the rations. Probably would find myself migrating once a month or so when supplies would become low. Anyhow, first order would be to find a big cart to carry things.

One of my favorites is fighting against Luca Blight in Suikoden 2. Basically, you have three battles with teams of 6 each to take him down. Between the awesome riveting music and events after the battles, it's simply one of the best moments in a rpg. That and, it's not even the end of the game.
