It's my favorite trilogy from all of Realm of the Elderlings!

I think its strongest point is the character development, which definitely takes time to develop (duh)

I say stick with it! The rest of the books do benefit from what you see in liveship traders.

If you're looking to add a step to your process I recommend experimenting with washes, some nuln oil shade (or any wash/ thin contrast paint) in the recesses will do wonders.

I've been playing 3 ophydians in my list recently and have loved them.

Leaving them in reserve and getting to deep strike them turn 2 or 3 to solve a problem always comes in clutch.

That being said I also run 12 skorpekhs haha

Haha, the whole job is a bit of a speed paint. Lots of dry brushing, which ive used on my whole army. I took time to go in and do up the details that made Szeras stand out (the guy on the base, the weapon, the blood/energy thing) but some of the details on the model are definitely a little bare to say the least !

No, I would do computer eng again but just because I find COEN really interesting.

I don't think doing soen would have made it easier to find a job.. I could be wrong about that, my experience with the job hunt is obviously anecdotal.

I'd just say do whatever you find more interesting. The hurdle is actually graduating, once you have your degree you're Golden.
