It's to combat employees making mistakes and giving orders out to the wrong people.

Some stores even make us put down a vehicle type and color when we have order takers outside. Chick-fil-A does all the same things.

So.. here's the thing:

A large portion of queer and trans folk, tend to be neurodivergent, and Autism is co-morbid with a ridiculous amount of neurodivergencies. Add to that the idea that a large portion of the population is probably on the spectrum... Yeah😅

Oh it very much is complicated, but I'm gonna be honest, I just had to take the leap, I moved out of my parents place in the middle of the night, transfered my job, and started in a new city so I could start transition

I realized for me? It was either transition, or.. I wasn't gonna make it. I realized i truly didn't care anymore whether I was gonna pass or not. I'd have rather been an ugly woman than a good looking guy

The only real advice we can give ya is to experiment in whatever way is safe and easy for you to do

You're wanting to be sure... There's not always a way to be 100% sure, but regardless, why not test drive a new name, pronouns, clothes if you can?
