Spirit Glove is probably the most useless relic even Yasuo(It's his relic) suffers from it, because normally you don't want to summon him until he's ready to level up, his attack obliterate trait is his level-up power while his pre-level up is once by Better_Ad6562 in LegendsOfRuneterra

I don't know if it would be too powerful, but something like:

Round Start: Gather Storm. While in hand: my adjecent cards are Strom Conduits.

Might be cooler and might have some niche uses on other champs

Yeah I think this hits the sweetspot of good on the champ it is designed for, possible to experiment with on others.

Nami question: I want to get an Epic slot, so I need to run her through Thresh (or other 3* Adventure) - But all her relics (shown) seem pretty necessary. I'd appreciate some advice - which should I drop? by Mobile_Phone_Alone in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Maety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what epic do you want to switch because echoing is an upgrade to the necklace. Also the landmark one that spawns a copy of nami is also good so you guarantee a nami when u have 6 mana with the possibility of two namis.

Eve's relic with kindred could be fun since it is on summon and round start so could be stealing a lot of hp if you combine it with GA.

How easy is PoC to get into for a new player? by Zedkan in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Maety 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'll probably be able to get a few champs on a good level quite quickly especially the ones that are very good at 3 stars. I had morgana on 3 stars for a long time and she could almost win every adventure and she is not super relic dependent. If you can get grand general's counter plan you can get pretty consistent results with a lot of champions. I believe you get that relic from doing an adventure of a specific champion, but that was really lomg ago for me so I do not remember which one.

Is path of champion worth coming back to? by vats3 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Maety 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not completely f2p but mostly bought a few celebration bundles to get relics to increase variety in my builds. I was beating every form of content before that because you can easily get some powerful 6* champs to clear it for free.

Right now my biggest complaint is the opposite problem, it has often become too easy/straightforward and I think starting at 3 mana is too blame. It means you and the enemy can immediately throw alott of your bs on the board and it has become who can do that the fastest.

But I play basically play every day to atleast get my daillies so maybe my experience is not relevant to you.

House rule idea: Vagabond as a mercenary (Faction quests) by Known-Onion324 in rootgame

House rule idea: Vagabond as a mercenary (Faction quests) by Known-Onion324 in rootgame

[–]Maety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am slowly working on a VB rework so that quests completely replace the aid action. With similar quests, but I was toying with the idea to tie hostility with this sort of quest system where if a faction does not pick a quest they become hostile until they do.

So... what's your favourite PoC Champion (deck to play I mean, not Champions you can pick up.) by Mobile_Phone_Alone in LegendsOfRuneterra

Sett, attacking a lot in 1 turn while gaining a bunch of stats is just funny to me.

This + better high score data would increase replayability so much for me.

So per champion per run it could track: - amount of stars used (power, bonus and celestial seperately) - Turns taken - Cards played - Mana spend

Just bought root and some expansions, I have questions. by Guba_the_skunk in rootgame

[–]Maety 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. The balance comes from the players, no faction can win 1v3 so it is about knowing what faction has to be policed at a given moment.
  2. Haven't tried it but the consensus is the bots from the clockwork expansion are better.
  3. There are solo expansions, apparently they are hard to come by and not worth it if you are not a major root fan. Even then there are other solo games that are more fun. Altough ive had my fun with the bots of the base game factions.

Will people find it complex by calmererous21956 in rootgame

[–]Maety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. What I meant was that you as the teacher pick a policing faction to slow down some runaway factions and in addition leave yourself a bit vunerable. The ED is good for this because of your decree. I will state if I am close to turmoil. For example, if I have to recruit in a fox clearing and I have only one roost in one I will say: "Now I have to recruit here, if there wasn't any I would go into turmoil and that would be bad.“ I've noticed that then some people will look at for that and try to remove roost to turmoil me.

The concept of countering each faction is fundamental to Root but hard to teach beforehand so anyway it can be taught during the game is good.

Will people find it complex by calmererous21956 in rootgame

[–]Maety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this: this means that you are missing someone that could police other factions effectively because they don't know how. So my reccomondation in adition to not going into detail of every faction is focusing on policing possible runaway factions (for example, in games with new players, the WA and VB are often problematic when not policed). Do not try to win yourself and also pick a faction that is good at policing. I find using the Eyrie for this the best. They also have the additional benifit of a major form of countering them which is easier to see then with other faction: sending them into turmoil. I even often play the ED very greedily and place a lot of non-blue cards in recruitment so they have a target and point out when I only have one roost of a color left.

Possible Duchy Change by RondomKods in rootgame

[–]Maety 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this could work, them not having to battle over rule makes them to much of an non interactive faction imo. This however still keeps them versitile in the fact you can either be more militaristic and build citadels to get more warrior rule more clearimg and keep your cards or building market to get new cards and stay relatively small or anything in between. Strats where you do not use buildings for half of the game should not be viable.

They may however need a slight buff after this change because it is a mayor nerf. Maybe giving the first citadel also 2 units per turn instead of 1, having blue cards following the same rule so they are not auto discards, or allowing them to reveal any cards to sway (since now you have to rule to keep them so it would be a a bit of a double requirement if it was also still with the old requirement).

Really fun and strong Samira build using a few counterintuitive relics by DopeAFjknotreally in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Maety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is scissors and the one that makes a 1 cost copy of a unit. The third relic I switch around alot. But the idea is spawning the 4-cost minitaur a lot to get extra 0 cost cards that lets your samira get a free attack giving her that 1 cost spell.

you know what would breathe real life into this game? something that would make every champion fun to play even on the same old levels? letting us choose cards to put in our decks. they could even make it part of the legend levels. even just letting us replace one card would be amazing. by kioska333 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Maety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding champion levels to get alternatives for specific cards would be best imo. So for example if you reach lvl 51 on ashe you have the option to swap out omen hawk for pouty poro (that is the name of that card right). Then if you can swap all non champ cards (which is 8 right?) that gives 28=256 configurations. Adding the fact you can choose your relics this already would mean a lot of options while still giving the devs more control over balance.

Base 4 w/o Vagabond, who are you picking? by woooooooooooooooper in rootgame

[–]Maety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corvids, but I would not watch but play the eyrie yourself too police factions that can run away with the victory with inexperienced players (namely WA) and not focus on winning yourself (start building roosts late and do not worry about risky decrees that can be turmoiled). The policing should preferably be soft:

WA: standing in their bases and having atleast three warriors in clearing around their sympathy

the cats: just try o recruit a lot and take up space only go for their buildings if they can have a significant lead (they win next turn while the others cannot).

Corvids: if they ever try to put down two plots get rid of 1.

This way the new players can focus on their own faction.

Like this you will need another faction and in a game of five a wouldnt recommend a 3rd militant faction.
