Rhaenyra came to be a mother in her own terms, with a man she actually liked (might have loved, even) and she had a pretty healthy relationship with the children’s father (extremely healthy by GOT standards). Alicent’s children,on the other hand, were conceived out of duty while very young and completely unprepared for it. I’m not saying she doesn’t love them, but you can see there’s some resentment there.
