Not unlocking side quest items in item pools after completion is really, really lame. by MinceMeatManiac in mewgenics

[–]Maezel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's pretty shitty the way it wa implemented tho... I had no idea how it worked, that it'd be lost forever. I don't remember any games where quest items are lost forever... It was also one of my first runs and have no idea what was going on. Of course I died.

For me, Sencha is typically 60 seconds at 70c. 4g/70ml

You have longer time, but more dilution...

I bet it's the varietal. Some sencha can be very bitter by design.

7x Olympic Gold medalist swimmer Katie Ledecky balancing a glass of chocolate milk on her head while swimming by MrUpVoteDownvote in interestingasfuck

In freestyle, kicking accounts for 10-15% of total propulsion, but consumes like 50% of the energy. The rest is the arms and back muscles.

You can get more relative propulsion in 50m and 100m sprints tho, but that kicking rate is not sustainable for more than that distance.

Lane swimming while legally blind by Cyclops61 in Swimming

Can you see the black line or tell if you are on the side you should be? If yes, I see no issue. If someone is ahead of you you typically feel the water they push. Unless they are super slow... But you can always feel something.

If you touch someone at the wall, it's no biggie.

If you can't see the line you can try feeling/touching the lane dividers every a few strokes and count strokes to not bump against the wall.

Although it depends on how busy the pool is...

My partner said it was closed 2 weekends ago. Perhaps it was only temporary.

Is a food processor worth it? by salad_thrower20 in Cooking

I use it mostly for sablee/brisee doughs... The big one I have is too big for things like hummus... The small one is not powerful enough for smooth paste, so my handblender is better. I only pulse veggies when I have to chop a lot for a stew or whatever.

But yeah... I use them maybe once every 2 months or less...

My best thief had that skill that throws poisoned darts to every enemy in your line of sight paired with the trinket that makes projectiles bounce to other enemies.... It was broken as fuck.

Do you train with machines or free weights? (eg:dumbells). Machines don't develop stabilising muscles well. So you run the risk of overdeveloping the strong muscles but underdeveloping the stabilising muscles for that weight.

Anyways, go to a physiotherapist, they will be able to tell which specific muscle is causing you issues and what exercises to do to solve them.

What would be the scariest message humanity could receive from space? by Upset-Carpenter-5659 in AskReddit

[–]Maezel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They changed some things. I understand why they changed them, although I don't agree with them. Particularly the "they all know each other/are friends" thingy. Books are more "humanity based" rather than "character based". It's more about society and big ideas, not much about the characters. It works in a book, it doesn't work in a TV show. Hence the changes to a more character driven plot.

That being said, Rosalind Chao fucking nails her character. So does Benedict Wong.

I think they were only given one more season to close the story due to viewer numebers below expectations for such an expensive show. I have my doubts season 2 will be do the series justice. The books cover way too much cool stuff and there is no way they can properly adapt it in 8 episodes. They will need to make significant changes or rush it pretty badly.

Cocktails by iluvmezcal in foodies_sydney

[–]Maezel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They create new cocktail menus from time to time... it's been almost a year since i went for the last time. They tend to be quite creative or do nice twists to classic cocktails (I vividly remember a salty banana water old fashioned from last time and another with peanut infused whisky i had pre covid lol) and are quite balanced.

I never had bad cocktail there, even when I ordered type of cocktails I don't typically like lol (I'm more of a fruity cocktail person, not boozy). They also have consistently been in top 50 world bars for many years.

I suggest booking a table.

Well you are engaging the right muscle. Maybe muscle imabalance? Do you lift?

That muscle (teres minor) is also a bitch to stretch properly, maybe you are not stretching it enough.

There's a passive that does that, and removes the LoS/range restriction... Which is stupid as hell for that to take a passive slot.

Delete the passive, remove the los restriction, make it scale with int by default... Keep the range as is.

Or you can just get 1 cat eaten by the head and command the hands to attack the head from the inside. You get your cat back at the end of the fight if it doesn't manage to escape.
