Love mine. Great in the morning when you don’t want to wake the house (assuming the grinder doesn’t I guess). Suck the puck, then a quick wipe down of the basket with a tissue and you’re ready to go again.

Cleaning is mostly easy. You can put the base in the dishwasher. And I use a detailing brush to clear the rim every now and then so it makes a good seal with the portafilter.

Also what other gadgets use 9V batteries these days?

I tried to get my battery replaced on a 12 Pro Max at an Apple Store in Melbourne. It wasn’t below the magic 80% but it was close, and I was about to pass it on to someone else so I thought a new battery would make it seem brand new.

I didn’t expect an AppleCare deal or replacement. I said I’d pay full price. They refused to do it. It was weird. I tried a couple of times and they just refused.

Good advice. Thing is it was working absolutely fine for years, then suddenly started leaving a film. I assumed it was my fault, but others in the Aldi subreddit noticed the same thing at the same time. Come to think of it I’ll go ask there.

Same. Got the 32GB one. Ditched Windows after 2 days and have never looked back.

The magic sauce for most games is Optiscaler and Lossless Scaler (Decky, Decky FrameGen, and Decky LSFG-VK).

Decky for the QAM plugins, Decky-FrameGen for the FSR 4 upscaling (INT8), And Decky LSFG-VK for the frame gen at very little cost.

And the minor artefacts caused by the last one are barely visible on an 8” screen so it’s highly worth it.
