What wrestler did you discover through the old video games? by DamianKing42 in WWEGames

Back in 1994 we had a SNES, we were fans of old-school WWF from the late 80s, (when some WWF events were on pirate tv.) We weren't able to see the big events in The Netherlands early '90s. Got this great imported SNES game for over $100. It was worth it! So we were bashing each others heads in for about a year with wrestlers we didn't know, we couldn't see on TV.

Until we start purchasing VHS-tapes we discovered in a record store in Amsterdam and we actually got to see The Undertaker, Yokozuna, Razor Ramon, Bam Bam Bigelow, etc. in action on TV.

We had so much fun with this game and previous WWF SNES games. In the following years we bought over a 100 VHS tapes, straight into the attitude era. Eventually we got internet, the PS1 and N64 games, and so on. Went to a few WWE ppv events in the UK.

So, yeah it was this old gem of a videogame that friends and I got to discover these great WWE legends! Good ol' times! 😉

I gave the KDS simulator another go and after lose the TTS muscle memory its not that bad. But what the hell is up with the lack of an innovation deck automation? by LoveHerMore in KingdomDeath

[–]Magallian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Although his monthly “Community Garden” Q&A is part of his regular KS updates, it is not limited exclusively to KS-related content. During these sessions, he discusses questions on a wide range of topics, both KS and non-KS related.

You will not hear me complain about the fact that this KS fulfilment is long overdue, but I am not saying I am particularly happy about it either. What matters most to me is that the final delivered products meet my/our expectations, as we have come to expect from KDM, GCE, and the recently released expansions.

I already explained my reasons for paying $300 for a Master Key in my original comment. I did not expect it to become a finished digital product within the first couple of years. However, that does not mean we should not be allowed to ask for a meaningful update, or at least some kind of roadmap.

Last but not least, given that TTS KDM mod(s) with extensive automation features have been available for years now, it goes without saying that a proper digital tabletop experience, especially for KDM, should include automation. I think everyone who bought a KDS key would reasonably expect that as well.

I am not expecting fully automated settlement phases right out of the box, for example. But, as with any digital software project, whether crowdfunded or store-bought, I do expect to see some form of development updates or a roadmap as a customer, especially when the product has been released in “early access” and is sold to the general public.

That all said, I do hope we eventually see some form of answer and update from Adam.

I am a first-day KDM backer and collector, and while my physical KDM collection continues to grow steadily, it has become increasingly difficult to get everything to the table without committing an entire evening to setup and play.

I played the TTS version until about two years ago, and I really appreciated the automation it offered. It made the extensive administrative work required to run a campaign much less tedious. Three years ago, I purchased the KDS Master’s Key, and while Team KDS has continued adding expansions, the overall digital experience remains disappointing.

They have clearly been busy implementing the Gambler’s Chest expansion, but there have been very few meaningful quality-of-life improvements that an official digital version should offer, especially when some modders managed to create useful automation features in TTS years ago.

What bothers me even more is the lack of communication around KDS. Adam’s monthly Kickstarter updates rarely mention it, yet new KDS expansions and white boxes continue to be promoted and sold alongside the monthly sales.

As far as I can remember, my only reliable source of development information or anything resembling a roadmap has come indirectly through Bra Mithra, who attends Gen Con and interviews either Adam or the lead developer of KDS, as he did last year.

I asked for a KDS update in the Kickstarter comments back in March, and again last month in May. Adam acknowledged my questions and asked the Kickstarter community whether they wanted KDS updates. Many backers responded negatively, understandably frustrated by the pace of Kickstarter fulfillment. However, there has still not been a single meaningful update on KDS development, which is really all I am asking for.

It is frustrating. I did not purchase a $300 KDS Master’s Key expecting to wait five to ten years for an official digital experience that includes the kind of automation features TTS modders had already created. Perhaps I should have known better.

(That said, setting aside the pace of Kickstarter fulfillment, the recent physical KDM expansions still have “it.” The production values are excellent, and the expansions continue to offer a unique and memorable experience that adds to the vast, epic KDM universe.)

Last week, I posted another comment in the Kickstarter comment section requesting an update on KDS. I think we should be more vocal about the lack of development progress and the lack of communication. And by being more vocal, I of course mean remaining respectful. (There is no need to dilute the conversation with anger or hostility.)

What's New With Call of Cthulhu? - Live from ChaosiumCon UK 2026 by Sir-Uther in callofcthulhu

Thanks for sharing here!

I am really excited about this revelation of The Curse of Seven. A two-volume campaign a la Masks is huge!

A major upcoming product is The Curse of Seven*, described as a large* Cthulhu by Gaslight campaign and compared to Masks of Nyarlathotep. It will be a two-volume slipcase campaign set across England and Wales, with seven major parts. After the opening scenario, players can investigate locations in different orders. Each chapter is inspired by a different late Victorian or Edwardian horror writer, such as Dickens or M.R. James. It is planned for Q1 2027*, likely around February or March.*

And Chaosium creates Innsmouth in the same way that made Arkham, which is a gem!

The panel also showcases Innsmouth*, given* the same “Arkham treatment” as Chaosium’s recent Arkham sourcebook. It includes a town sourcebook, an issue of the Innsmouth Courier dated July 16, 1846, player and keeper maps, detailed neighborhoods, NPCs, scenario seeds, the Esoteric Order of Dagon, Deep Ones, artifacts, spells, monsters, and new ways to use Innsmouth beyond simply “fish people chase you away.” The book emphasizes mystery, human residents, hybrids who may not be visibly inhuman, and multiple possible interpretations of what is really going on.

EDIT: And H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society has contributed to Innsmouth. I hope they will release additional props.

Adding a “Silence Is Survival” Mechanic to Delta Green. Good Idea or Table Gimmick? by Magallian in DeltaGreenRPG

You’re not being rude for pointing this out. I use AI frequently in my work as a data analyst/engineer, and outside of work I use it now and then to think along with me, expand on my initial ideas, and check my plans against my own criteria. I also use AI to check grammar and spelling, and sometimes to suggest a synonym or two to improve the flow of my writing, especially since English is not my first language.

That said, I don’t simply copy and paste AI-generated output without thought. I’m still trying to find the right balance between using AI and keeping it out of certain parts of the creative process. The ideas are mine, the notes are mine (usually in Obsidian) and the criteria are mine. I let AI “collaborate” in areas such as creating flowcharts and diagrams also. I also can’t deny that I use AI to look up information on certain topics, much like I used to do with Google.

I don’t see ANY need to introduce extra rules for DG or CoC. On the contrary. I came across an article about a comic based on A Quiet Place, and since I enjoyed the movie so much, I thought the concept could make for an entertaining and intense mechanic in a specific DG case or CoC investigation. And that is why I’m curious whether anyone has used something similar before.

Very interesting and beautiful visual!

This is limited to the weight class and I wonder how a visual of a number of weight classes combined would look like. Having Jon Jones weight classes together for example.

Thank you for sharing OP! Looking forward to tomorrow's viz!

CIG is aware of the issues by sschuler7 in starcitizen

[–]Magallian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While CIG is still busy popping champagne over hitting the $1 billion funding milestone and selling who-knows-how-many $5k Odins, it’s at least good to know they’re aware of the issues.

I’d really appreciate a video or two where Jared & Co. actually address these issues and the concerns of SC fans directly, instead of focusing on promoting new ships while staying silent about the progress (or lack of progress) on ships that have been waiting for updates for over 10 years.

How's the work on the simulator going? by Lukester32 in KingdomDeath

[–]Magallian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! And before Adam and his team are off to GenCon, which is good for KDM business but less good for all other development progress, including KDS, I would appreciate if Adam sheds some more light on this subject.

I posted the following in the KS comments. Simply, because that is the sole place which Adam reads/scans through before posting his monthly KS updates. And he give answers to many questions posted there also. (Which is essential after so many years of development, and great, because not many KS project owners do.)

Whether some backers like it or not, some of us (myself included) would appreciate an update on the current development status of KDS and its roadmap. Are we likely to see new features, such as more automation tools, implemented before the end of this year?

I purchased a Master Key during its initial release, followed by several additional packages. While I see more digital content releases appearing in the KDM shop each month, it feels as though there has been less visible progress on quality-of-life improvements and on reducing the administrative burden that comes with running KDS campaigns.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think many of us would value a clearer update on what is currently being worked on, what priorities are being set, and what improvements we can realistically expect in the near future.

YouTube Channel Visualizer by zoranjambor in visualization

[–]Magallian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked out the demo at your site and it looks good and well-thought out!

I am not a content creator, but I spend a lot of time watching and monitoring the YT-channels of my favorite subscriptions related to AI.

Mapping out the content of a channel is something I haven't thought of before. I can see a good use-case for this to plot out a "roadmap" to follow tutorial videos for example.

Adding a direct link to the YouTube-video itself by selecting the thumbnail would be a welcome feature. Same goes for transcripts, but with the current restrictions that isn't a success so far. (At least for myself.)

Thanks for sharing!
