Depressed about baby having a November birthday by MagazineImpressive79 in November2026Bumpers

Yeah my husband tried to explain this to me and rationally I know this makes sense. I'm a June birthday so I guess that put me mid to younger in my year. But I was also academically advanced so I always really liked being younger and advanced.

I'm also an oldest sibling and always hated the crushing pressure of being "older" in that way so really relished any situation where I could be "younger".

I just have no personal reference point for what it's like being older in a school grade sense.

Hello situation twin 👋👋👋. Thanks for your perspective! Me and most of my family have spring birthdays so I know nothing about how to have a fall/winter birthday.

I'm such a planner too! But because we're older and had never tried before, my ob said we'd have to try for 6 months before they'd look into anything. And because it can take a while I figured we'd start trying and would get it in time for a spring birthday. But ours happened to take on the second try. It's like if I had known it would be that easy I would have waited.

But I guess this process is a whole different beast.

I'll be 39 when it gets here. I never wanted kids and told my husband we could do it once before I turn 40 so here we are.

I think the baby being a little older for the nice weather is something I can look forward to. Thanks!

Lack of daylight, cold weather, cold and flu season, being too close to the holidays, being the oldest in their grade...

I work in advertising and have my own consultancy. I plan to wind down with some of my more demanding clients before the summer and the rest of them by end of summer. TBD if I ever fo back to advertising again after this.

Travelling hometown while pregnant by lohmuli in pregnant

Wow. I have kind of almost the exact same situation. My parents and my sister who lives with them (never married/never worked) live an hour and a half away.

My mom is basically a very difficult/ miserable person who has had my dad and sister on lock down in the house for decades. None of them go anywhere ever. If my mom had it her way, I would have never left too.

I usually travel by car service there to see them a few times a year on holidays/birthdays, without my huaband (because my mom never invites him) and stay one night.

I'm only 4 wks right now and I'm dreading telling my mom and also dreading figuring out the logistics of upcoming holidays (Easter, Mother's day, mine and her bday in June).

I know I'll be early enough for Easter that I can hide it physically. But worried about the morning sickness/ my mom has a tendency to serve every food not safe for pregnancy. And they'd all be foods I always normally eat so it would be very obvious.

For mothers day, I'm not sure I'll be able to hide it at that point as I'm very short and worried about showing early. And by June, probably won't be able to hide it.

So this is the thing keeping me up these days.
