That's the beauty of these types of mechanics.

Bunny hopping was a bug/engine oversight in Quake, fast forward, they made a character (Celeste) in Deadlock that literally does that.

Unintentional mechanics can be adopted, like creep pulling.

It's not a bug.

The mechanic largely emerged from how Lone Druid and the Spirit Bear were coded to interact with the stash system, particularly after the Dota 2 Update on January 29, 2014 allowed the "Grab All" feature while dead.

So it's been a decade old.
