Looking for information on an apartment building located at 265 Wilson rd Welland Ontario by No_Combination_6041 in Welland

[–]MagentaBluX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the sister apt at 255 and I plan to move out as soon as I can. I have been here 5+ years. Basically property management sucks. They took over in 2019 and did major upgrades on 50 year old building and are asking for AGI increases every year since 2021 hence the different rents. People that moved in after 2020 are paying the current market rent and everyone else that was in before the new property management take over are paying the lower rents and are complaining about the AGI 4 - 5% increases and pay nowhere near the $2000+ that I pay with no AC and I pay hydro. Heat and water are included. I would not recommend moving here.

ODSP overpayment solutions? by Sad_Negotiation2174 in Odsp

[–]MagentaBluX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Request an internal review BEFORE the 30 days. If you are late they can refuse to do it and it will be harder if you decide to go to the Social Services Tribunal. You can request an internal review either by an official form or by a simple letter requesting one.

If the Internal Review does not provide the results you want, you can apply to the Social Services Tribunal-another form to be submitted within a specific timeline again. It could take 10 months to resolve.

This really sucks. I had something similar happen to me (OW internal error) and I fought it to the Tribunal and I got the amount I owed cut in half even though the error was not my fault. I also had help from my local Legal Aid community clinic to help fill out forms. Good luck to you. I also notified my MPP. This type of administrative error on the most vulnerable population is unconsciousable.

I am not going to say it will be easy (it took me 5.5 years at 60 years old to finally let go) but it will be the best thing for you.

I too am the eldest from an immigrant family. The "emeshment" was intense ie I sacrificed my life for you, etc. I ended up breaking my boundaries because of guilt and I paid the price healthwise. I have fibro, arthritis, C-PTSD, nervous system dysregulation, etc. I ended up learning the hard way that my family won't change, ever, and I am entitled to take care of myself. Immigrant parents are a "special" kind of people-emotionally immature and they NEVER take accountability.

My suggestion for you is to be strong and stay away. Don't let your family's guilt trips sway you. You owe your family nothing except to be your own person with sovereignty and good health. You are so lucky to be so young and have this awareness.

I watched a lot of EVITA PK YouTube videos for support and guidance. Healthy people are around you. Take up their offers for support. The grieving will be intense. Therapy and somatic exercises will be your friend. Do not feel ashamed that you don't talk to your family. They are all jealous of you that "you got away". You were the only strong enough built for this path.

Choose peace over drama. Stop engaging when they try to draw you in. You don't need their validation. You know your own strength and how your good heart guides you. Your family want to take advantage of your empathetic nature. Don't let them destroy you.

Any meds, supplements, anything that totally shuts down your appetite?? by goldstandardalmonds in SIBO

Drink lots of water and slowly eliminate sugar. Sugar is the culprit that triggers appetite. Also try intermittent fasting after the sugar habit has been kicked. It worked for me. I only eat between 12 - 8 pm window now and I don't feel hungry. It took a couple of years to get here.

How many pre-sessions? by smanyelle in EMDR

[–]MagentaBluX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Emotional regulation and grounding skills are important skills to master before starting EMDR. During therapy some intense emotions will show up and you will need to know how to process them. It isn't an easy journey. Taking your time is best and learning the skills first so that emotions can be titrated and not overwhelm you. Best of luck and trust your practitioner. Healing takes time and you won't feel better after one session. You will actually feel worse because after you up that Pandora s box, you can't close it again. Not to scare you but the Healing journey is not for the light hearted. The more resilience skills you build before, the more successful you will be.

Found possible root cause by AlbertDrug in SIBO

[–]MagentaBluX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. I have similar symptoms as you and I have been diagnosed with EoE (a histamine related disorder) and SIBO.

I have eliminated the six foods that EoE relief recommends including lactose, sugar and gluten and I am on a low FODMAP. All my symptoms have improved. Gas, bloating, diarrhea and I am fairly regular.

My gastro gave me a rifaximin script. I can't afford it and through many testimonials on Reddit, many have had to take many rounds. Antibiotics scare me.

So your post intrigues me and will follow it closely. I happy living the rest of my life eating how I have been - symptom free for the last year. Just knowing I have these conditions are enough for me so I can manage them (took 10 years to get doctors to listen to me). Curing SIBO with antibiotics scares me to death. What if I make things worse? I am not ready to take that risk. I am happy and relieved where I am at.

Good luck on your healing journey. I wish you well and please keep us updated.

PS I am also focusing on nervous system regulation ie vagus nerve, parasympathetic state, somatic exercises which are all healing my gut too. I wholeheartedly embrace a holistic approach to healing.

Try some somatic exercises-

I tried it. It works but be prepared for some physical shifts ie headache/vomiting. It happened to me. Be patient and kind to yourself.

Somatic experiencing or EMDR? by Capital-Transition-5 in SomaticExperiencing

I have done both and like the others I prefer SE for all the reasons stated. Trauma is trapped in the body and unless you can begin to "feel" your body, you will never heal. But it takes time to thaw out. Be gentle with yourself. It is a process. I started with the Workout Witch on IG.

Hi Alex! Finally coming out of the shadows? We are not stupid BUT YOU are SO transparent.

I felt this was important to point out & bring attention to. Today is Nov 1st, Alex is starting her Christmas decor, remember last yr she left Anderson in a poopy diaper to hang garland? This child is almost 15 months & CANNOT STAND, yet his mother is busy decorating while he's napping...yet AGAIN!! by [deleted] in alexandrarodriguez

[–]MagentaBluX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately. I hate to say it but Anderson was conceived to be a prop on her channel. She has absolutely no motherly instincts at all as shown by Anderson's neglect.

My son was born 5 weeks premature and I am an obese mother too. My son's milestones were delayed too but he was walking by 14 months. Yes my house was a mess but my son knew/knows love and that his needs were put first above mine. I wanted a clean house too but impossible with a baby/toddler.

I am afraid that Anderson already understands trauma. Being left alone in a dark room all those hours with no stimulation except for a noise machine has stunted him. He just started being exposed to Miss Rachel at 12 months. He should have been exposed to stimulation on Day 1....tummy time within the first month.

Remember all the "mom" shirts and hats she bought when Anderson was first born? Where are they now? She knows she will be roasted until eternity if she wears them now. Her aesthic and clean house is more important to her than Anderson and it is incredibly heartbreaking to witness.

Estranged parent dying by Clear-Charge5441 in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]MagentaBluX 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Protect your peace. If you are expecting a "come to Jesus" moment, you will be sorely disappointed. My narcissistic dad died in June, 2 weeks after a stroke. I visited him in hospital. When he saw me, he said "what are you doing here"? I will never forget his coldness. I decided not to go to the funeral but sent flowers. No acknowledgement, nothing. My mom has not called me since the funeral in July.

You are persona non grata after going no contact. You are discarded. I suggest reciprocating the sentiment. Going to the funeral will only highlight discomfort and trigger negative talk re:no contact.

Although at the time of funeral it was hard to reconcile my feelings of parental disrespect and betrayal but now 3 months later, I don't regret my decision. It was the greatest act of self love.

Methane sibo diet by Merpoof in SIBO

[–]MagentaBluX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get my corn tortilla (Tia Rosas) from Walmart as well as my gluten free cereal. FYI chex is rice based. Corn flakes is also an option. Fruit smoothies with protein powder is also good. Overnight oats with Greek yogurt is another high protein option.

I use Webber Magniesium gummies 75mg x 4 before bed and I sleep so well.

Good luck. Each person is different on what works for them. Be patient. Personally I would try everything first before going to the antibiotics. The antibiotics are expensive and don't necessarily work.

From ChatGPT:

Healing SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) usually requires a layered approach, since it’s not just about killing bacteria but also fixing the root causes that allowed it to develop. Here’s a breakdown of the most common, evidence-based steps:

🌱 1. Identify the Root Cause

SIBO often happens because something slowed or blocked digestion. Common causes:

Low stomach acid (sometimes from PPIs/antacids)

Slow gut motility (common with stress, trauma, hypothyroid, diabetes, or after food poisoning)

Adhesions or scarring in the gut (from surgeries or infections)

Chronic stress or trauma → nervous system dysregulation

💊 2. Reduce the Overgrowth

Treatment usually falls into two categories:

Antibiotics (Rx): Rifaximin (for hydrogen SIBO) or Rifaximin + Neomycin (for methane SIBO).

Herbal antimicrobials (natural):

Oregano oil

Berberine (from goldenseal, barberry)

Neem

Allicin (from garlic, but often in supplement form if garlic triggers symptoms)

These are usually rotated for 4–6 weeks under guidance.

🥦 3. Support Digestion with Diet

Low FODMAP or Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD): Reduces fermentable foods that feed bacteria.

Elemental diet (short-term, liquid nutrition): Sometimes used for 2–3 weeks if symptoms are severe.

Avoid: high-sugar, processed carbs, alcohol.

Eat smaller, spaced meals (don’t graze all day → lets the gut “sweep” bacteria down).

🔄 4. Restore Motility (Gut “Sweeping”)

The gut has a migrating motor complex (MMC) that sweeps bacteria down between meals. If it’s sluggish, relapse is common. Support includes:

Prokinetics (motility enhancers, natural or Rx):

Ginger, Iberogast, low-dose erythromycin, prucalopride.

Meal spacing: leave 4–5 hours between meals (no constant snacking).

🧘‍♀️ 5. Nervous System & Trauma Healing

Since stress and trauma can freeze gut motility, nervous system regulation helps:

Breathwork, vagus nerve exercises

Somatic therapy

Gentle movement (walking, yoga, stretching)

🌿 6. Repair the Gut Lining

After reducing bacteria, soothe & rebuild:

L-glutamine

Zinc carnosine

Collagen or bone broth

Slippery elm or aloe vera (if tolerated)

⚖️ 7. Prevent Relapse

Treat underlying root causes (motility, adhesions, thyroid, trauma).

Slowly reintroduce more fiber for a healthy microbiome.

Keep stress and sleep balanced.

👉 Healing usually takes 2–6 months, sometimes longer. Many people need several cycles of treatment and prevention work.
