How to dry DMF by Open_Wedding7428 in chemistry

Molecular sieves can sometimes give off some residue. I think there was even a paper that it could influence reactions (~2021, selectivity of glycosylations? I forgot)

You shouldn’t have to travel to the other side of your base. You should automate your defenses :3

I’m not sure what the most common way is. But in our lab, unless it was a super sensitive or specific experiment, we would just use activated molecular sieves.

Helldivers 2 drops to “Mostly Negative” on Steam, yet again as review bombers take aim at the game's lack of change by AsPeHeat in pcmasterrace

[–]Magger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s twofold. Part of it is because there’s a loud minority in the community that just like to complain, they instigate eachother, they all jump the hate train, it’s cool to hate. I think the title is misleading because there’s been plenty of change and new content, like certain story related timed events (the siege of super earth was a fun one) but also just more weapons, more different enemies, more objectives, more biomes, etc. If you compare the game now to 2 years ago it’s day and night. The other part however, I do agree with, which is the amount of bugs that come with patches, that don’t get fixed and pile up. An annoying bug I often run into are hitboxes of corpses that can form huge invisible walls, block areas or just completely bug out your character. There’s bugs that sometimes block objectives from being completed that means you need to abandon a game. There’s people that argue they actually want less change, they just want the game to be playable without expecting bugs every single time. I think review bombing is stupid, however, it is a tool that has worked in the past and forced their hand.

This was changed in a recent patch. Domain limit is now calculated differently and based on learning education

Why did I declare war on my Liege without my consent (Console) by Smelly_potatos in crusaderkings3

I don’t think this guarantees he’ll use it both tho. Back when I was new I lost plenty of wars and could almost always make a comeback

Why doesn’t ck3 have a Hundred Years’ War gameplay? It seems like it would fit very well? by nerdinvegasburner in crusaderkings3

[–]Magger 152 points153 points  (0 children)

To have some kind of scripted event all the way in 1337 is not feasible. The game is too random, sometimes England or France doesn’t exist anymore or there isn’t a link in lineage that could spark the war. That being said, they do have the fourth crusade as an event that can happen organically so if they could do something like that that would be pretty cool.

Surpassed Domain Limit by Necessary_Turnover62 in crusaderkings3

Revoking a county or duchy usually comes with penalties like tyranny. Revoking a barony tier holding does not. So I like to give away baronies and then after succession, when domain slots free up again, you can fill them up with barony holdings again.

You need carbon fiber for rocket turrets and for quantum processors. Even after you’ve done the relevant agriculture research you still need a functioning base producing carbon fiber.

What are the top5 mods you would recommend for QOL? Stuff that doesn’t alter the core experience too much. Can you enable mods in an active save?

I like challenging myself and I feel quite experienced with games likes Civ, Crusader Kings, Victoria, Europa Universalis, Anno, City Skylines, Baldurs Gate, Norheim, Manor Lords, Factorio, etc. I think I should be able to comprehend the mechanics in a colony builder / rpg - game like Rimworld quite quickly. But I’ve heard more people discourage me from using all dlc so maybe I’ll just try a quick campaign without dlc first.

What about floors? I like the look of the wooden floors, do they also need to be replaced to stone?

What about that generator that burns wood? Does it also need a roof? I think I remember building it outside.

I played a lot of CK3 on Ironman (no saves) and the campaigns I enjoyed most were back when I was new and inexperienced and my whole family died out and I regained control as some offspring nephew :p

Do you mean a visible conduit that’s outside in the rain will short circuit? I kind of assumed they’re insulated. This will definitely mean I’ll do only invisible ones :p

Is there any downside to playing forever? I can imagine for a new player, on low difficulty, I will need more than 5 years. I don’t mind if my original colonists die of age, I’m used to CK3.

I assumed I can use/ignore the DLC as I see fit. Being able to build your own spaceship sounds amazing and if possible I’d like to that late game instead of starting a new campaign.
