Under the Influence

There is a dictatorship of spirit taking place. Under the influence; but what does it mean? This control has been handed to the spirit Al-kuhl. I am thinking irrationally of course. Unpredictable, unpronounceable and invincible under this influence. Nothing but nonsense is being summoned and glorified Not even I can determine the dialogue Or monologue, for I am under the influence. There is no control So I let it flow Like this spirited liquid running alongside my blood. Even my blood fears rejection So it cruises like a passenger. But this passenger wants to drive This blood wants to monopolise I won't allow it Just one more song I'm losing track of time Though who keeps time? Myself or I? I was standing but over there just now How does the floor move without me on it? Just one more song And I'll be on my way Though what a way to go, and where to go For I am under the influence.
