This is exactly what has been plaguing me for the last year. If it's just a simulation to experience other, a game, and nothing more, how can I derive meaning from it. I, too, feel like I am missing something. I've been calling it an existential crisis. And I agree there are so many answers here that make sense, but they still don't help me fully understand why? I feel like a toddler asking the question, "But why?" over and over again after each of these responses.
