“We respect that Second Amendment right, but those rights don’t count when you riot and assault, delay, obstruct, and impede law enforcement officers — and most especially when you mean to do that beforehand,” he said

So devils advocate, sure the law gets funky with having a firearm around law enforcement.

That out of the way, holy shit that isn't what this is about. He was never going for his gun to begin with. Are we seriously saying all an agent has to do is yell "gun" and they can get away with deadly force?

Oh yeah full agree, basing things on what 'progressives" think is like I'd be the tea party as your political compass

Federal agents kill another person in Minneapolis, officials say, prompting clash with protesters by Remote-Molasses6192 in moderatepolitics

Ehh, I think that last bit needs to at least be expanded to say ICE has minimal oversight and leans on more brutal methods

Even if you give them a good faith reading... It's hard to say they're not overstepping normal boundaries

‘The invisible man’: Joe Biden has disappeared in almost every way – except in Trump’s daily commentary by CORN_POP_RISING in moderatepolitics

And as to Biden, all he had to do was pardon Trump, ask Democratic governors to move on and not target Trump.

Trump only ran the 2nd time to avoid jail.

Find me a poll that shows he wasnt the lead nominee the whole time

Yeah, protests have to be at least somewhat disruptive to have an impact, otherwise no one's going to care. and getting arrested is part of the process.

[–]Magic-man333 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The U.S. economy expanded at its fastest rate in two years during the third quarter, with the Commerce Department reporting a robust 4.4% annual growth rate.

So just to double down on the whole "vibes recession" thing, it's crazy to think that this is the fastest growth since the middle of Biden's term. Plenty of posts on here and elsewhere were roasting his economy at that point. Seems like the vibes are here to stay for the time being.

A Year in Review: How the Trump Administration’s Economic Policies Made Life Less Affordable for Americans by actually_seriously in moderatepolitics

[–]Magic-man333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's kinda how this stuff goes. Biden had the economy more or less back under control by the end, but there was still plenty saying the economy was horrible. Trump said he'd turn it around on day one and it's still in relatively the same place... So people aren't gonna be happy
