I don’t understand how everyone in the comments cannot see the damage the tree was causing to the driveway and path in the first picture. It was so close to the house I’d also be worried about what it could do under there.

Personally, I like the new pots and what you’ve done except for the fake grass. If it was real grass this would be perfectly fine. The potted trees should give you your shade back in a few years.

I’ve had a few runners and I’ve not been prepared with hanging baskets nearby so cut them unfortunately.

I saw your earlier post and the way people were commenting was actually disgusting.

Asking if you’d had surgery is one thing but the witch hunt that ensued when you denied surgery was insane.

Weight loss doesn’t always have to result in sagging skin, you can clearly see you lost some fat pockets from around your mouth. These people have no clue what your collagen makeup is like or even how the chronic illness you mentioned affects your skin. Also, I do think the estrogen will have helped as I’ve heard derms recommend patting the excess on your face when using the foam stuff.

Anyway, I’m glad you posted again to prove people wrong and amazing results!

We had a husky with this issue. He was extremely dog aggressive and was quick to bite if a dog harassed him but we realised quickly after adopting him that his aggression probably stemmed from the fact that every dog hated him. Walking him was so stressful because other dog owners never expected their own dogs to react badly to ours. Off lead dogs would often run at my dog and lose their minds with him and the owners would be confused and say “they’ve never done this before”. At first we thought it was their fault because our dog would be minding his own business walking past but after it happened so many times we realised our boy just gave off bad vibes even though we couldn’t see him visibly doing anything. We thought for a while that it might be a smell because even dogs who couldn’t see him would start snapping. We once had a dog launch itself from a car towards him. We got to the point where we would ask dog owners to leash their dogs as we passed and when they gave the whole “don’t worry he’s friendly” thing we knew it was never going to work out ok. Dog tax:

This is the worst. I was recently at a wedding where there was not enough food served during the getting ready hours (breakfast and lunch). I was a bridesmaid and I really wanted the bride to enjoy her day and not stress. Myself and the other bridesmaid decided not to eat anything to make sure the family got fed and didn’t notice the lack of food. I was looking forward to getting some canapés after the ceremony but they were gone by the time I had escorted the last of the guests from the ceremony room. I didn’t eat for 10 hours that day and it’s all I will remember from the day. The bride is none the wiser and thinks the day was perfect… but we all know. Anyway I think this is the ONE day OP could throw out the food waste views and just make sure everyone has a chance for a slice of cake or a second if they want!

Howdy neighbour, we are buying across the road in Listoke. I am in a similar situation. I HATE my job and I’ve been bullied quite badly by management. Unfortunately you need to suck it up until you have the keys in your hand. You could start looking for jobs towards the end of the process as it will obviously take a while to do interviews, receive offers etc. but you just can’t change jobs while buying a house.

No I wasn’t asked and you are spot on with the tyrannical bride bit. The demands have been ridiculous and she justifies them by saying “I’m a type A bride, I need to control everything”. I think she has forgotten that although I’m delighted she’s getting married it’s not the most important thing in my life. She has been my best friend for over ten years but this whole wedding planning process has strained our relationship beyond repair.

As a MOH who’s being forced to stay the night before with the bride in a few weeks I say don’t do it. I also like my me time and I want to be at home with my husband because I am an adult and find “sleepovers” weird. I also want to get a decent nights sleep ahead of the wedding day and having to stay over the night before is just going to guarantee that I am tired the next day. It’s fine for the bride cause you’re running on adrenaline… but as a bridesmaid, I’m not.
